So does Bryan Gil, the player he replaced today.

Did anyone see Araujo mug a player around the neck in the Galaxy Game last weekend? It seems he has learned a lot about the dark arts since becoming a traitor for Mexico. How that wasn't called a red card is beyond me.

WRT Musah... I do think he exaggerates the fouls he takes towards the ends of games where they are ahead by a slim margin. Unfortunately I think this is pretty par for the course in most leagues. One thing I will says is that Mush might be the most valuable players during Valencia's Copa Del Rey Run. He scored a couple of big goals and dominated some games against inferior opponents. And that run he made towards the end of the game to set up the final chance was a thing of beauty... it deserved an assist. Too bad it wasn't put away.

I think Musah is one of the most talented YAs and if he can continue to improve on the D side of the ball he could become a very good Intl Player.

ftr- I am a HUGE fan of Yunus.

I bring up the rolley-polley because it's something I see him do more and more of the more I see him play. but of course, La Liga in particular (not alone- definitely worldwide) has a lot of it.

And the last game out, I saw him do it at MF- not get the call- and have the opponent counter with numbers in the space he was supposed to be defending while he rolled around on the ground- obviously not hurt... and get a ball across wiht a goal-scoring chance that required a big save from the GK. that was all on him... and not something I'm a fan of.

Looks like they're using a 4-3-3 more often, letting Musah be more central. He got a yellow running down a long ball on a break - the attacker could see that Musah was outrunning him, so just cut in front of Musah and threw himself to the ground. Musah went to great pains to make zero arm contact, and the attacker very clearly initiated the contact.

Musah will miss next match on yellow card accumulation. Mark your calendars.

Musah also had an assist-quality lefty cross from the endline that he put right on a teammate's head to head a foot wide at the back post.

I missed the 2nd half. He actually crossed with his left? That is rare for him. I am ok with him being right foot dominant but getting better with his left is a must if he is going to play in the middle of the pitch long term. Really love watching him play. He is a difference maker. If he can become more consistent then he will be a good player for years to come.

Valencia enter the game precisely halfway from relegation and Europe: 13 points clear of the relegation zone, and 13 points out of continental qualification.
