T'markt lists '02 Michael Mulligan at MFK Vyskov as Czech-American. I can't find anything that would make him definitively American although it looks like he at least grew up in the states.
A NYC-area player named Kenny Monfort appears to be on the second team of Kickers Emden. It looks like he's a Haiti-born '97. https://www.fupa.net/player/kenny-philippe-monfort-1758797 https://www.transfermarkt.us/kenny-monfort/profil/spieler/702700 https://www.felicianathletics.com/sports/msoc/2018-19/bios/monfort_kenny_w8q7
Niklas Persson is Instagram (Swedish-)Ameican: https://www.instagram.com/niklaspersson10/?hl=en T'Markt has him as an '01 who may not have a 2022 club yet but has been with AIK. His Instagram also shows him in what I assume is a SYNT uniform, which is supported by T'Markt as well. https://www.transfermarkt.de/niklas-persson/profil/spieler/504251 A (Swedish) story from about a year ago: https://www.expressen.se/sport/fotboll/ettan/forre-aik-spelarens-succe-har-redan-tangerat-2020/
A player named Mareen Miftiu may be with KF Teuta in Albania, and seems to have played for that country's U17s (and could be provisionally cap-tied to them). It looks like he's spent at least some of his life in Michigan, though I haven't looked closely into the matter. https://www.tff.org/default.aspx?pageID=471&ftxtID=30690 http://tournaments.usyouthsoccer.or...me/50061/MichiganWolves03MIWC2/CUPGoldOH-SSC/
He's with the first team today: 🚨 TEAM NEWS 🇫🇷 Lacazette leads the line🇧🇷 Martinelli returns🇬🇭 Partey holds the midfield⚡️ Let’s go, Gunners pic.twitter.com/gqbM7bDgsJ— Arsenal (@Arsenal) February 24, 2022 If he's a Yank, there should be some kind of official word soon.
He's listed as Canadian most place I've seen but this news report, which could of course be wrong, says Cork City's Matt Srbely was born in the U.S. https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soccer/arid-40817067.html
TM lists Michael Boamah as Finnish & American: https://www.transfermarkt.us/michael-boamah/profil/spieler/814426 The club lists him as Finnish: https://www.hjk.fi/en/pelaaja/michael-boamah/ There's a private Instagram account for "Michael Adjei Boamah" that lists him with HJK in Finland and displays "US/GH." https://www.instagram.com/boamah__/?hl=en I can't find much more about him or any connections to the US.
I still haven't been able to confirm this anywhere else, though I continue to look into it. I recently listened to a Nigerian-produced interview with him where his birthplace and the U.S. didn't come up but the other stuff noted above was confirmed. Could mean anything I suppose.
FWIW, the '03 at Sunderland named Jack Armstrong listed as English/American on Transfermarkt probably is not American.
This guy is probably not American but apparently, along with the at least three Yanks currently with Argir in the Faroe Islands, there's a guy named Agustin Marsico who was recently in the NPSL. How did all these guys end up on the same team in the Faroe Islands? I have no idea but I invite you to look into it.
I have NO idea if they are related but there was an Ade Coker who, after playing briefly for West Ham where along with Clive Charles and Clyde Best was one of the first Black players in England, played in the original NASL for several years and got naturalized and played for the USMNT, earning 5 caps. Could be just a coincidence, but in soccer, there are usually dots to connect and if they are related, it could mean there's US citizenship. Or not.
My guess (and that's all it is) is that Ade Coker isn't Kenny's dad, but I could be wrong, and they certainly could be related. The interviewer I mentioned was a former England-based Nigeria international and you might think that he would've mentioned it if the connection were there, but who knows? https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=watch_permalink&v=571506607452502 Apparently there's a book about Ade Coker I might need to add to the shelf! https://www.amazon.com/East-End-Heroes-Stateside-Kings/dp/1844545016
I haven't looked into it that closely, but a few sites suggest that a German-born '02 named Jalen Rueter is German-American and possibly with the second team of lower-division Germany club Meerbusch. He seems to have some kind of link to the Shattuck St. Mary's program, which would be a good clue that he might be American, though not a guarantee.
T'Markt says an '03 named El Yam Kancepolsky at Hapoel Tel Aviv is Israeli-American. He seems to have some IYNT experience. It's certainly possible, but Jewish-American players are often registered as Israeli, and I haven't yet found further confirmation. https://www.transfermarkt.de/el-yam-kancepolsky/profil/spieler/761351 https://www.football.org.il/en/players/player/?player_id=124778 https://www.uefa.com/under19/teams/players/250169128--el-yam-kancepolsky/
I assume this is a mistake, but it just seems so out of character for the club. I was looking at the roster for Pacific FC in the Canadian PL and saw this entry: Amedume, Paul Midfielder Nationality: USA 2003-02-28 Everything I've found on Paul says he was born & raised in Canada. He was loaned to North Texas SC by Pacific FC last year. That press release only says he's Canadian. I say it's out of character because the CPL really highlights the Canadian nature of their players and it's not like Amedume has played for a US YNT. Plus there isn't any language or cultural barrier that sometimes cause confusion over citizenship. Even TM doesn't like a second citizenship besides Canadian.
I could probably start a thread, but logging here for now that a player named Erson Gerbeshi is listed with Mornar in Montenegro's first division. https://fscg.me/klubovi/mornar-40052/?cid=4462428 It looks like he's an '01 who has spent time with the Red Bulls. http://www.ussoccerda.com/sam/standings/ss/view_game_report.php?eventId=6579434&teamId=12548520 This seems to be his YT channel, which says he's American. This site suggests he may have spent some time in Croatia. https://zns.hr/soccer/players/1109082-ErsonGerbeshi
T'Markt says an '04 GK named David Silva at Uruguayan second-division team Cerro was born in the U.S. It appears he was recently on the bench for a league match against Progreso; not sure if he's played for them or much else about him really. https://www.transfermarkt.de/david-silva/profil/spieler/1000729
He's further down the ladder now. This article, which is paywalled, offers a pretty strong clue that he has, at the least, an American connection: https://www.rheinpfalz.de/lokal/zwe...er-joel-young-_arid,5163418.html?reduced=true http://www.sg-rieschweiler.de/aktive/1-mannschaft/
A player named Alonzo Peart was on the bench for Georgian second-division club Shevardeni recently. He appears to be an '02 with NYC-area connections who has done some kind of journeyman abroad thing in recent years. He's called American in several places but I haven't pinned it down.
T'Markt says a guy named Gideon Abudulai Kadiri, who recently appeared for Grbalj in Montenegro, is Nigerian-American. Could be! https://www.transfermarkt.de/gideon...ls/spieler/992999/saison/2021/wettbewerb/MNE2
