Are they really really sure about that this time? :p

Really nice move to give him such a long contract in any case.

Very fitting - Class move by the club for a class player.

    Absolute legend.
Best Japanese player ever? I think we're coming really close at this point.

The way he just keeps playing and still being relied on this much year after year makes him a legend regardless of nationality.

By the way did anyone mentioned that Hasebe becomes a official "Bundesliga Legend", a Hero status cause of his performences.

In this they are players like Lothar Matthäus and so on. A very very rare trophy almost nobody gets.

Scored again the winner today against Bochum. The 2:1. Good and active game from Kanada.

Eintracht Frankfurt is set to face Barcelona in the Europa League quarterfinals.

First leg next Thursday at Frankfurt, and second leg will be at Camp Nou, Barcelona the Thursday after the next.

If Kamada plays he might be the first Japanese to face Barcelona in a European competition (not a domestic competition). Same to Hasebe (if he plays).

If Kamada does well as he always used to in Europa League matches he might get an opportunity to transfer to a bigger club, and he might get his NT hopes for a place in the WC squa boosted especially with Takefusa Kubo not playing so well for the NT.

Wasn't Shunsuke Nakamura the 1st one who had that honor when Celtic faced Barca in 07/08 UCL?

Anyway, i'm looking forward to what Kamada would bring to the table against Barca.

Kamada with an assist on Kostic's goal to make it 3-0 for Frankfurt vs Barca

They look well on their way to advance into the Europa League semi finals

Quick thinking and a pass with pinpoint accuracy for the assist, which turned out to be the game-winning goal. Overall, a great game with his deft passing into space which set up many dangerous Frankfurt attacks.

Helping Frankfurt into the EL semifinals ought to be enough to give him another chance with the National Team. I'd like to see him starting ahead of Minamino -- to me, he's the better player.

Should have been a part of the NT a long time ago. Starter or not.

Goal by Kamada to give Frankfurt the 2-1 lead vs Hoffenheim. Although the score equalized again a bit afterwards
