Won the EFL cup, but was, unsurprisingly, a bench warmer the whole match.

Sadly the poor fella will have to move in the summer if he wants to get a game .

He would of better moving in the January window in hindsight

He wasn’t used yesterday despite Firmino , Thiago, Jones and the Ox not being available

Stay in a great team but be a bit-time player, or move to another team with ample opportunity? These are Mina's peak years and he is riding the bench for the most part. Definitely some things for him to consider moving forward.

Again, RB Leipzig would be perfect, but I think Minamino enjoys the English life.

Although... Jesse Marsch just got hired for Leeds United ;)

He’d be better going there now on loan tbh

722 minutes played this season (~8 full match)
    9 goals
1 goal every 80 minutes (~1 goal per full match)

As now 89 minutes played in EPL with 2 goals (1 goal every 44 minutes and 30 seconds).

But Klopp prefers Diaz with his impressive 1 goal and 0 assist in 362 minutes (~1 goal every 4 full match) because you know the skinny guy know how to dribble. Denilson docet.

Aren't all his goals in the low quality League Cup until tonight ?

I guess Mina, enjoys playing a 2nd fiddle role in this team. As for his little playtime and how it might affect his NT callups, the guy will be summoned regardless.
If I were him, i'd go back to RB Salzburg or try and join the other RB team, RB Leipzieg.

Both of Minamino's goals in the EPL were scored after the result was already sealed by Liverpool. Not much impact.

You cannot judge players by the goals scored per 90, or other sort of statistics, you have to deep dive into the contexts of this statistics.

I’d guess the majority of his goals have come against mediocre teams in league cup games ??

Who cares. His ratio is really good this season. No one can say anything about that.

Well it would explain why he doesn’t get picked for the tough or important games ..

    Stats mean nothing really

Stats are everything in football. Most important thing. Sure you can performan great without stats but stats are one of the most important things.

Minamino is performing awesome. But that doesnt have to mean he can be a sure starter cause a Mane, Salah and Jota score more goals then Minamino thats enough and thats the reason why he limited play.

Who knows if he could compete to those 3 if he would be the starter.

Goals per Minute are very deep when it comes to. analysis, maybe one of the deepest and individualic informations you get.

His goals in Premiere League where not meaning less. He scored a 3-0 and a 4-0 against Arsenal. It was not that he scored a 8-0 or so.
Sure maybe it was a little easier to score when they lead but you can also say that often a Team who is leading gets a little slower and comfortable to save energy. So maybe even more impressive that he managed to score?

He has 9 goals and 1 assist. Other Bench Players dont reach it which means something.

And also Jota, Salah and Mane scored often enough when games are a little over or against "weaker" oponents.

He’s behind Diaz and Elliot and whoever else is fit now .. he didn’t even make the bench last week

That was not the point @TitoTata, only want to say that Minamino plays a very good season and that you always can talk things bad, when you want.

He is not decent, he is good. I would also say he should move but on the other hand its totaly okay when he stays. He will score around 10-14 goals this season.

When he remain as a super sub with so much goals every season in one of the best clubs in the world, its cool.

He's had an extraordinary season, 9 goals with the amount of time he's had is unreal.

Hopefully he moves up the order a bit.

Apart from the equaliser he scored against Leicester in the League Cup almost all of his goals are either against weak teams or in a situation where the result is already sealed.

He is playing for Liverpool. Hard not to call almost all teams weaker, so.
