Absolutely. The Ajax development system is so top tier - they'll be exposed to a totally different world. Hopefully they take advantage of the opportunity!

Jordy Caicedo scored another goal today. He's scored 20 this season so far in all competitions. Hopefully he goes to a better league after this season.

There's an Ecuadorian player in Armenia. His name is Silvio Gutierrez. He's played in Liga Pro in the past - Delfin and Deportivo Cuenca. His last team was America de Quito. He's not the NT radar but I think it's a good thing if we have more players playing abroad.

The more eyes we have in Ecuadorian football the better.

Jordy needs to get playing time as a starter. Hopefully after the WCQ cycle, he can start getting slotted as the hombre the area for the XI because at the moment, he's coming into matches as a sub when the team is not tactically set up to take advantage of his stature and ability to find the net. 20 goals is no small feat - even if it's Bulgaria. There are definitely watchers. I anticipate seeing him make an exit after this season, and because he's coming from Bulgaria, the pricetag on his transfer is manageable for some of the larger leagues where he could hopefully land.

His last couple of goals have been impressive. He was calm and collected. I could see him going to Portugal or Belgium. I'd say his price tag is somewhere around $5m.

He hasn't gotten that many minutes so his performance is hard to assess. Perhaps Alfaro will give him an opportunity when Ecuador plays friendlies. Estrada will continue to start so he'll battle Reasco, Cuco, and others for the back up striker spot.

John Mercado made his senior team debut for Atletico Paranaense. It's good to see him getting an opportunity. Bryan Garcia finally made the team sheet even although he didn't get any minutes.

I actually read his contract transfer fee was somewhere along the $5M Euro mark, so your estimate is spot on. The challenge will be that his team is going to ask for a larger sum at the end of the season, and with him potentially on a World Cup squad, they might get greedy and teams will cool off until after Qatar - the benefit will be the winter transfer window because of the World Cup calendar interruption from late Nov-Dec. IF he manages to bag a few goals in friendlies or can break the starting XI, we'll see that interest activate further and well, the rest is up to negotiators.

I doubt that Belgians will be looking to pay fat transfer fees, so I'd actually think we'd find interest in Germany or France...if he shines, Italy seems like a clear contender for his services. COVID finances still make smaller leagues and tier-2 teams squeamish on spending.

I agree I think even worst case scenario being that they are a Bulgarian team they probably wouldn't be able to bump his price tag to more than 6.5m. Their biggest league transfer was Jonathan Cafu. Brazilian player who got sold for 7.5m then Jose Palomino for 4.5 both in 2017 actually. I think if his Price tag goes up too much even the Turkish League could still put down that money for him and it would still be a good move for him.

Carlos Gruezo is starting for Augsburg today. It's good to see him getting consistent minutes lately.

I could see one of bigger Belgian teams paying his transfer fee. Jordy is still young so in the event he does well they could always transfer him for a higher fee in a year or two and make a profit.

I think his team will sell him in the summer. It's a risk holding on to a player with the expectation of selling him in the future for a higher transfer fee. Injury is a risk. A player can also lose form and subsequently lower his transfer value. I'd like to see him join a mid table German club. He has what it takes to bag 10-12 goals a season and challenge Estrada for the starting spot. He just needs an opportunity.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that he will be leaving CSKA Sofia, but the big issue will be "where".

I'm also cognizant that it's in everyone's best interest to get him slotted into a new squad before the 2022-2023 season kicks off, because we also run the risk of seeing a repetition of the 2006 Carlos Tenorio saga kick up again...first his Qatari team placed a massive transfer fee that was likely not going to fly with anyone, and then later said "untransferable". Both situations really prevented our guy from heading to Europe in his prime to ply his trade. These clubs have a multitude of reasons to protect their players, but ultimately, radical positions like this only wind up hurting the player - it's demoralizing.

I'd hope history doesn't repeat itself, and he can move to a larger club to ply his trade. The 24-27 y/o age bracket is crucial for him to join a squad to really level up before entering the 27-30 age where he's hopefully in his prime and killing the nets. He'll turn 25 at the start of the World Cup, which again, depending on where he lands (or doesn't) will define crucial development years for our guy. He can be the next Felipe Caicedo, and maybe even a better version of Felipao with the right coaching and squad around him.

Apparently San Rafael is Ibiza's farm team. Hopefully Cevallos takes advantage of this opportunity.

I wonder how Tenorio's career would have turned out if he went to Europe after the World Cup. If I remember correctly there was a French team interested in him.

Jordy has the potential to be lethal. He has the physical tools - height, speed, strength. If he continues his development on the technical and tactical aspects then he'll reach his potential.

What happened in Queretaro is terrible. The sanctions should be severe. There's talk that Queretaro will be disbanded or kicked out of Liga MX. If that happens Montero, Martinez, and Jose Angulo will be without teams. All three could go back to Ecuador. Transfer windows are closed in most leagues and foreigner slots are full.

I can see Fidel Martinez going back to bsc. That would be a smart move for him. He'd get consistent playing time and would be in the running for a spot on the NT. Liga would be a good fit for Jose Angulo. Liga needs striker depth and Angulo can battle Molina for the starting spot. I don't know which team would be a good fit for Montero. This is all hypothetical. There's no official statement as to what's gonna happen.

Could that really be possible can they disband or kick them out ? I always liked Queretaro cause they always used to buy Ecuadorian players. It so sad.

IF Liga were to get Angulo he could really turn our team around. Martinez back to BSC with an already stacked team I guess they can play him as a ST to Alternate with Mastriani and Garces. Montero IDKY I see him going to Delfin if he returns to Ecuador but Emelec and IDV could still be options for him.

I don't think there's room for Montero at Emelec. On the right Emelec has Chala and Carabali. On the left there's Rojas and Marcos Caicedo. Dixon Vera is also on the roster. Name has been measured with his signings do I don't he'd go after Montero. I could see him going to IDV on a short term contract. They don't have wingers. Alan Minda is out until the summer. Anthony Valencia is just beginning his career. They did sign Billy Arce to address those issues.

Looks like Queretaro will stay in Liga MX. They'll play without fans for an year tho. There's also some other sanctions. Still nothing official. I imagine Montero, Martinez, and Angulo will stay with the team for now.

Luis Canga will leave Vasco da Gama. He only played in a handful of games. I imagine he'll return to LigaPro.

Not a bad move for IDV if it happens. They're in need of a LB. Beder hasn't played in a game in almost a year and he still hasn't recovered. Chavez is still green. It's a decent move for Ramirez. He'll play Libertadores and get consistent minutes at least until June. He knows Ecuador so he wouldn't haven't to go through an adaptation process. He won't be able to dodge NT questions though.

He linked to Fenerbahce now and IDV is looking into Jordi Govea. Jackson Porozo got picked up by City Group. and Bryan Angulo is rumored to go to Santos.
