Interesting move, going back somewhere doesn't always bring success, I hope he can improve on last season at least
Looked good, just needs to find that end product, that for me is the big missing piece of the jigsaw, I'm sure he's working so hard, just shows how difficult it is at the top level.
He's 20 now, he should work more on himself and start cementing his status as one of the greatest, at least among his Japanese peers. Many forgave him before due to his young age but now they're waiting for him to prove his mettle.
What the *? He's not even close to be one of the greatest among his japanese peers. Talking about one of the greatest (I hope you meant in Japan) is sci-fi material.
Wow! Someone has the ability to predict the future! Congrats! But, by all means, continue bitching about him. Who knows? He might start playing well and prove you wrong like Ado Onaiwu
Comes back from the injury, gets on the pitch, scores at the last minute and grabs 3 points for Mallorca against Atletico Madrid in their own stadium. Not an easy goal either, that took nerves.
Any link for his goal? I tried looking it up on YouTube but all I found were trolling FIFA game videos.
"Scored" winner although it was rightfully given as an own goal. Then got a yellow for removing his shirt.. Unnecessary...
Of course he hit the post. His finishing ability haven't moved up a notch in the past 3 years and I hope that it won't hinder his further development to the top level. That's one of the obvious shortcomings in his play and that's the difference between playing in a club like Mallorca and title contender (his stint in Villareal where everyone was 2-3 levels above him proved that unfortunately).
His final product, whether shot on target or final pass need to be improved. I agree. He is improving in terms of team-oriented action at least this season, unlike his previous two seasons in Spain when he was very individualistic. If he can improve these two aspects it will be only a matter of time to see him playing as a starter for a team challenging for European places in Spain or England.
2nd half sub and relieved a lot of pressure in a massive win over Atletico. He played very well. Out of relegation zone right now.
Lost incredibly 3-0 today at Elche. It's a long way to go for Mallorca, although their schedule is definitely good for someone who has to avoid relegation.
Anyone else think Kubo needs to try a new league? Couple of very stalemate seasons needs to try something new. I think bundesliga would suit him perfectly and would kill it but can’t be joining a la liga side on loan again
