'75 mins in Maddison puts LC ahead of Spurs. This is great for us given their games in hand. Please hang on Leicester!

Totally undeserved result if it holds. Leicester have been awful.

    All the better, really.

And they've totally fallen apart in stoppage time.

2-2. Soyuncu, in particular, has been disgraceful.

    3-2 to Tottenham. ******** me.

    What the absolute f***.

Leicester did pretty much everything wrong there. Poor clearances. Stupid giveaways. Lazy marking. Hate that S*** won but damn if LCFC didn't deserve to be punished for their complete hatchet job on defense.

My oh my. I didn't even know there were any games on today (my DVR isn't doing it's magic since the NBCSN->USA switcheroo) so having seen a few posts here, I managed to catch LCFC-THFC match starting at 88'... honestly they looked pretty comfy all the way up until 95' and then almost out of nowhere Bergwijn scored 2 in a minute?! And right after he lost his cool after trying to earn a PK and then pushing over Sonyuco. A truly amazing finish... sucks of course for us, but if we'd done that we'd be absolutely on cloud 9.

p.s. However perhaps the best moment came after Bergwijn jumped the hoardings and was being mauled by teammates, when a fan got involved and Lucas(?) decided to rip off the fans wooly cap and throw it to the ground! Nothing ill-tempered, just raw emotional celebration with his extended family. I loved that bit.

i am curious. often times when i watch leicester highlights, they will talk about how solid or good soyuncu has been and, yet, every time i have seen their highlights, he looks somewhere between mediocre and garbage. what gives?

Makes a lot of tackles and clearances that look good, but he creates those opportunities because his positioning is terrible.

Meanwhile our gals are in a sizable slump, losing 5 out of the last 6. With the 5th being a tough loss at home to Man Utd who got the late winner for 0-1. Luckily it's only the League Cup. But troubling nonetheless... can't really say why the wheels came off for them in the past month or so, after they were fairly imperious in the first half of the season. Let's see if Jonas can earn his pay to right the ship.

    Notables from this morning's action:
    • Everton lose yet again, regardless of Big Dunc taking over, and are homing in on the R zone. Their only league win in the last 4 mos was against us. :p Oh, and more projectiles thrown at celebrating players... this has become routine all over the world.
    • Yanited came up with a late winner at OT versus West Ham, pushing us down to 7th. A draw woulda been much preferred from our POV, but we've got a few games in hand on both of them so...
    • NUFC get a very rare 3pts at Leeds. Only their 2nd win this season... yikes.
    • BRE-WOL delayed for 20mins or something during 1T, due to a drone flying over the stadium. If it was our country some annoyed fan woulda pulled out their handgun and shot it out of the sky.

The other game I caught up with this morning was yesterday's WAT 0-3 NOR, a HUGE relegation 6-pointer, and The Josh Sargent Show...

Josh gets his first EPL goal, after an eternal wait, and then doubles his tally 20 minutes later! The first goal had shades of Giroud's scorpion or Eduardo's side heel.

The away fans were serenading him with "USA, USA, USA"... don't remember that since the Lando at Everton days.

Post-match, he admitted he forgot the new-baby celebration after his 1st goal. So, to avoid landing in the dog house with his wife, he trotted that out after goal #2.

Very happy for him. Just wish I thought it was a more permanent upturn in form rather than a blip.

Anyway here are some clips of his very nice/poised interviews:

Soton make it 2-0 against Citeh, except that it was a blatant offside where the AR left his bloody flag down... uggh.

Could've been 3 if Broja wasn't born offside. He would've gotten a penalty on that Ederson challenge.

Draw would have been best for Arsenal.

Well done to Hassenhutl's Southampton to get a 1-1 draw vs Citeh. After they went ahead and missed their opps to go 2 or 3 up, they hunkered down for most of the remainder. Allowed the equalizer, but in the end this is a great result for Soton and decent one for the chasing pack, putting a little dent in the Manc juggeraut... the first time they've not earned 3pts since October?!
