Didn’t this kid start the first time he was available? Nothing at all since.

    No Troyes fans out there?

Interesting that many thought Venezia, Alaves (spelling?) and Troyes were bottom of the barrel clubs w little hope. Looks like they r all doing OK.
Just need our Yanks to get some more time on two of them.

Unless something interesting happens it looks like EPB will be forgotten soon.

One can only wonder “what if” he could have taken the PSV deal. Yes, I completely know why he didn’t and as someone who grew up w little I am all for it. This is one of those situations however where I wish I could see an alternate reality. Easy to do from a keyboard.

I think the deal is they play a back 3 and one of those is the captain so Erik is probably 4th in CB depth.

Starting today in ESTAC's cup match against Nancy. they're up 1-0 at the half, and he got a yellow according to their Twitter feed.

EPB gets the start against Lyon today.

This is Troyes first game since manager Laurent Battles resigned on December 30th and was replaced by Bruno Irles who was signed from Ligue 2 Quevilly-Rouen.

Game starts at 11am eastern on beIN Sports.

Okay, I know the new handball law is touchy, but he blocks the ball with his lead foot, ball goes back into the attack, bounces onto EPB's trail foot and, from behind his back as he's sliding, into the back of his arm. PK and 1 down. But sheesh

i do think this is encouraging, new manager, starting while they're playing three in the back. EPB's distribution is quite good. he's strong and doing an okay job at the defending thing.

    Super exciting development!

From your previous post, I thought he might have been ejected. Did they overturn with VAR or ??

Fingers crossed. I do believe he started right away for the last manager, and then that was it. A run of games would be nice. Seems like he did enough?

you hope, but who knows. They lost 0-1, and the one was a pk he gave up (as noted above, a really cheap pk, but it was a pk and the lone goal). At the death he was part of a scramble to score an equalizer, just a bit short. OL dominated the game, like 70 percent possession, 19 shots to 6, 8 on goal to 2, etc, but they only gave up the one, cheap, pk goal, so that should be worth something

New coach + new formation = new opportunities.

With his contract expiring in June, it's come at just the right time.

    Good luck to him

If you'd told Troyes before the game that it'd end 1-0 they wouldn't have been too disappointed. Lyon are not having the best of seasons by their standards but, with a giant of the league against a promoted team that's battling relegation and has just sacked the coach, a battering would have surprised no one.

This scoreline preserves their relatively sizeable 5-6 goal GD advantage over the rest of the bottom 6. It could be very significant at the end of the season.
