I'm really not sure why people want Wes to leave Juve. If they sell and he has no choice, fine. If he wants a bigger paycheck and another team will give it to him, that's his business. But, Juve are a top team and he gets plenty of playing time and has improved nicely thus far while still having plenty of room to grow. Sure, they're not as dominant as they have been in years past but does anyone really think they wont be back on top in the next few years? We're talking about an historic club and whenever they have trailed off they always come back. He's well positioned to help a great team get back to the top and be a mainstay for years. Were they the juggernaut they were in years past, maybe he doesn't get the minutes he currently gets and now he can improve with the rest of the team and be ready and able to continue in a big role as they return to the top.

I don't really see how constant team hopping is very productive for a player's overall career. Finding a good spot on a top team and making yourself valuable there looks like a better recipe for success to me. At Juve he gets to play plenty of big games for trophies and compete against all the top teams. I'd like nothing more than to see Wes play at Juve for a decade and rake in a few trophies while playing Champion's League games almost every year if not every year. He'd have to have a really big offer from a very select number of teams for moving to make any sense at all from a sporting angle. His bank account may disagree if an English team is wiling to throw ridiculous piles of money at him and maybe Bayern or Real would make sense. But, there simply aren't many teams out there who are a better place than Juventus, especially for a guy who starts regularly and is already having solid success.

Would Wes really have much choice if some English team offered stupid money to Juventus to buy him ?

Probably not. I'm really more speaking to the number of people who seem to actively want Wes to move or who think there are better situations out there for him. If Spurs or someone want to give Juve so much money that they want to sell, it may force things. But, I think it is a big mistake to consider a team at that level anywhere near as good of a situation as Wes is already in.

All these talks of Wes moving away from Juve is just plain silly. He ain't going nowhere, deal with it.

His future is in the Premier League though I'd love to see him become the U.S. superstar in La Liga at some point in his career.

Wait, so if he’s a regular starter, development is going great, and pretty much thriving and performing at an elite level, at a good team that plays in the Champions League, how is staying a bad thing? I just don’t get the obsession with wanting players to make a move to a different club, when they are already in a great position at a top club.

What’s the point of a move when you don’t care if he gets a lot of playing time?

Also Juve is historically top 5 in the world. They are a bit down now but they always come back very strong. Think of the players who have worn those stripes. And lastly, don't forget the food, the culinary aspects.

This seems like a weird cause to take up. Wes is thriving and a huge club. I’m not sure I see the problem.

Times are changing. Juventus cannot compete financially (fairly?) with half the teams in the PL.

There is no problem. Wes is in great form... That is what matters the most. Some are going to come in here and beat the drum and others are going to try and rain on the parade. Just par for the course for a forum.

Times are always changing. That is now, things can change quite quickly for the financial picture too.

His salary is the only problem. They fix that and most of this talk goes away.

Most seem to think he’s on about €2.5 million per year. Most seem to also think that’s the about the lowest salary of any regular first team member. They need to bump him to €5 million if they want to keep him and keep him happy.

I fully approve a move to RM this summer!

And it is totally NOT far fetched from either Juve or RM’s perspective.
