T'markt says '03 Noah Mavrommatis with Atletico Platense's reserves is American.

    https://www.transfermarkt.us/noah-mavrommatis/profil/spieler/967568

It looks like he played with Atlanta area DDYSC before heading to Argentina.

    His Instagram says he's Argentinian/Greek/American.

I also found some footage of him playing. He's wearing number 3.

Dangit, I still have my tabs open from a few days ago when I started looking into this before I hit the road. Never wrapped it up and you beat me to it!

Chase Villanueva, a possible Yank in Peru:

I did find a couple of mentions of him at the club, but nothing that really connects him to the US.

2002 Agustin Anello is listed on trasfer market as being born in Florida as well as having Argentine and Italian cititzenship currently with Lommel in the Belgium second division. A quick look at his social media shows him with an American flag in his bio. https://www.transfermarkt.us/agustin-anello/profil/spieler/860812

I don't know if we ever confirmed US citizenship (though we are pretty close), but he was 23 when he played in a NL match after the new rules came into effect. He is too old to change now.

I haven't, personally, despite a modicum of effort, but all that means is that... I haven't, personally.

I think earlier in this thread, I found the American man who is likely his father, but I'm not crazy about establishing paternity via the Internet. Whenever I see Cyprus playing on ESPN+, I'll remember to do a quick Google search, but never find anything definitive.

Can confirm, he was born in Miami.

(Kudos for using what I assume were "semi-advanced Transfermarkt tactics" -- various searches without national flags often yield surprising results. Such an effort turned up Musah, as I recall.)

It's been established that, no, he isn't:

I believe he remains the only player ever to play for both Hayes & Yeading United and Muangthong United of Thailand.

I'm going to throw this in here now, because he'll already being identified as American, though he may not be.

His most recent college team includes this note:

Moved to the United States at 14 after playing club ball in France with E.S Cros de Cagnes for five years, competing against Ligue 1 clubs

So he would be in the US for about 8 years, which could be enough for citizenship, but there is no guarantee. He mentioned English as a 2nd Language on his LinkedIn profile, so that lessens the likelihood of an American parent. I don't see anything else that includes his citizenship.

A few sites say an '01 named Alain Hansmann-Jackson is German-American. Those sites aren't 100% clear on which lower-division German club he's currently at, and I haven't taken the time to figure it out yet, but it may be TuS Essen West.

Real Salt Lake's Axel Kei, 14, tops Freddy Adu mark as youngest MLS signing (espn.com)

Ok, I'm assuming he's not an American yet, but he will have been in the country 5 years by this year...and if stays until 18, he will have spent 1/2 his young life in the US.

What's the path to citizenship for him- since looks like this kid could be better than Freddy.

2nd question: If he would leave for, say, Dortmund development team at 16...where would that put his citizenship status?

Thanks for filling in blanks for me. 2026 not THAT far away.

    The club lists this:

    Player Information
    Name: Axel Kei
    Pronunciation: Axle KAY
    Position: Forward
    Height: 6'4"
    Weight: 183 pounds
Date of Birth: December 30, 2007
    Age: 14
    Birthplace: Ivory Coast
    Hometown: San Diego, California
    Citizenship: United States
    Last Club: RSL Academy

Unless there's some misunderstanding at the club (the Houston Dynamo thinks a Green Card = US citizenship, for example), he's already a US citizen.

That LinkedIn page links to this video, seemingly posted by the man himself, that calls him a French/American '98. That should do it.

But if that's not good enough for you, he apparently worked at a Dunkin' in Massachusetts. That should at least qualify him as American for roster purposes. ;)

Circumstantial evidence is saying that he isn't a US citizen, but figured it would make sense to put this in the thread.

Sebastian Joffre (and another US-based player Rian Jamai) have signed with Crystal Palace and went on loan to Belgium.

Joffre, a versatile 22-year-old Bolivian attacker, and Jamai, an attack-minded 20-year-old American midfielder, both developed at F.C. Florida Prep Academy.

He said in his intro video that he's been in the US since he was 12, so he has had the time needed to be a US citizen, but, other than TM, no trustworthy site has him as American, only Bolivian.
