It is said that Grupo Pachuca bought him for 6.5 mil. But I only see Ecuadorian media talking about this. I don't see MX media saying anything yet.

Twitter. Ecuagol.com is pretty reliable too. More so than futbolecuador.

Mexican clubs take European scouting and start poaching, lol. If they have cash on hand, which I'm sure they do, it makes sense to try and sign someone like Castillo. That seems like a pretty hefty transfer for MX standards, which means a European club might have considered bidding slightly more...but the winter transfer window is tricky.

They have the money to buy him it would be a nice option for him since Europe never seemed like an option for him.

MLS is following the same tactics. They poached many euro bound South American players.

Emelec turned down America 3mil offer for Rojas. Hopefully they make another higher and Emelec accepts.

BSC stated that they have not received any offers that convinced them to sell him.

If Emelec doesn't get a good offer they should hold on to him. Barcelo may not come back so losing both Barcelo and Rojas would be a tough blow.

Castillo will get sold. There's no rush to make a move. They still have time to make the best decision. Remember last year with Moises? I think IDV held on until late January.

Luis Fernando Leon has been linked with Charlotte FC. That would be dope tbh. He'd join Alcivar and Franco. Having each other around would help with their adaptation I'd think. Franco and Leon have played for Ramirez too. All three are players on the NT radar too.

Emelec is rumored to loose a tone of players and seem to be going very conservative with their signing. Why is that are they having financial issues as well?

I would have sold Rojas and made some serious moves like bring Miller, Alvarado, Jeison Chala, Leonardo realpe, Erick Ferigra, Gustavo Cortez, kike, and Mike Cevallos. I would have aimed to build a team that would compete in Libertadores. The way they are moving it seems like they just want to reach another Liga Pro Final. I have a feeling next season IDV and a surprise team will reach the final like Aucas, Catolica, or 9 de Octubre.

Keep in mind Liga isn't able to make any solid moves and BSC have financial issues as well. While Aucas has made some really interesting moves. Catolica and 9 de Octubre if they maintain their base and continue this route could surprise too.

Bsc has made some moves tho. They've brought in Castillo and Penilla. Velasco and Aimar are also back from injury. Recent reports also say that they've signed Joao Ortiz. Ortiz should have gone to MLS. Piñatares is gonna start under Bustos. He'll have to battle it out with Molina and Carcelen for the other midfield spot.

I'd say Emelec isn't in the best of financial situations. Covid obviously impacted their bottom line. They also haven't played Libertadores for a couple of years now so that hurts too. They invested heavily in the stadium renovation. And they haven't sold players recently.

Ferigra and Kike probably want to stay playing in Europe. Realpe recently signed a contract extension. Miller's salary is high. Chala and Alvarado are interesting options. Alvarado was recently linked to Liga. Emelec would be a better fit for Alvarado. He can start on the right, Rojas can start on the left. Zapata can play behind Cabezas.

I forgot they made those signing but they dont really need wingers tho tbh. This year all the top teams are being linked to cheap Argentina B league players it a little odd and I feel like the competitiveness in the league may take a drop due to all the financial issues in the big teams. IDV for sure will make it and BSC and Emelec are gonna have to really work for it against the other small teams that have been doing well recently.

With all the things Paz stated I really dont think we can afford anyone. It would be a miracle for us to get Alvarado. Emelec would be the best fit from him.

Yeah they have some good wingers already - Preciado and Martinez. Perlaza too.

I think Aucas will have a good year. They've made some interesting moves.

I think Alvarado will stay in MLS. Nani and Mueller are gone. He may finally get a chance to play more.

Aucas signed alot of the local league players I wanted Liga to get. Plus they brought back a bunch of players that were aboard. Definitely keep an eye on that.

I hope Alvarado gets playing time it was upsetting seeing him preform in the pre season and get little to no playing time. I was sure he was gonna at least alternate with nani.

Sergio Quinteros, and Jefferson Orejuela are gonna be free agents I hope Liga and get them. Jefferson can recover his form and Sergio can blow up in Liga he could see alot of playing time here actually.

Looks like Villarreal has offered BSC 5.5M euros for Castillo.

I'm not sure Villareal would be a good fit for him. They have Aurier and Foyth at RB already. Both were signed within the past 14 months too so they're relatively recent signings. I'm taking this rumor with a grain of salt. I read this is same reporter who said Castillo had been sold to Grupo Pachuca.

I give the news a bit more credibility since it's coming from Ecuagol that usually clears multiple sources on a report. That being said, he should go to Spain, if the offer is good and he's got the will to do it...even a loan in Europe to consolidate himself would be awesome, but I think he's got what it takes to succeed.

He definitely has what it takes to succeed in Europe. He could do well in Spain. The Netherlands and Portugal would also be good fits for him. Germany too but it would take him a little bit longer to adapt to that league.

I dont think Bsc would loan him out. Too much risk for them. I think they'll sell him eventually. I think they're holding out for 6-7m and I don't blame them. The winter transfer window is open for another month so time is on their side.

Just rumors so far but Bryan Garcia to Atletico Paranaense and Jose Hurtado to RB Bragantino are some of the latest rumors.

Luis Segovia to Palmeiras is the latest rumor.

Ppp was announced by Idv so Jose Hurtado more than likely will get sold. They also signed a player from Guayaquil City a couple of weeks back.

Ppp was an interesting pick up from idv they signed William Vargas from Guayaquil City also a right back and a player who passed threw Boca youth. I haven't seen him much in City tbh but he seems like a very good pick up.

Going to idv was probably the best move for PPP. Bsc or Emelec wouldn't have been good fits. With Hurtado gone he'll compete with Vargas for the starting spot. If he plays well he may even get another chance with the nt. It was only last year that a lot of people thought he should have been the starter instead of Preciado.

The numbers being quoted for Hurtado's transfer is 3.5m for 80% of his rights (full transfer would be 4.375). If rb bragantino is paying that much for Hurtado then bsc should be able to get 6m then.

Aron Rodriguez has also been rumored to be going to el exterior. He was being linked to Emelec but now that they signed Chala I don't think it'll be a good fit. If they sell Rojas then they should definitely go after him. They can then sell him in a year or two.

I'm not sure what foreign league would pick him up from Macara. He a great player but I really think he needs to go threw one of the top teams to make the jump. I feel like he will just end up staying in Macara. Apparently none of the local teams made a good enough offer for him and he was linked to all the top 4 teams.

If he is lucky maybe a Portugal or Belgium team would pick him up. Portugal teams have scouted Macara before so I hope they continue scouting there.
