Has anyone noticed that lately there's been a lot less rumors regarding foreign players joining Liga Pro? Emelec, Bsc, Liga, Idv haven't been connected to anyone. The season just ended but by now you would have heard something already.

Seems like the established ones are moving around teams.

Anyone following the whole Joao Rojas-Junior Sornoza beef? Lol I wonder how Alfaro is going to handle it.

Maybe because all the teams have no money. Hard to link big names if we cant afford anyone really.

All the teams are gonna wait towards the end of the transfer window and pick up what ever free agents they can.

A little off topic but this has to be from 96 or 97? When did Alexis Lalas play for Emelec? lol

Leverkusen CBs have been doing horrible in the last couple matches, hopefully Hincapie gets his chance at CB now.

It's also seeming likely Porozo will be starting alongside Hincapie next month since Torres, Leon, and Arboleda won't be match fit to start due to South American/Mexican soccer ending.

I think the Mexican league should start back up by then. I think they should organize a couple of friendlies so the Liga Pro and MLS guys get some game action. Bolivia and Chile would be good opponents. USA too. Their coach may want to give the domestic guys a look.

If Porozo stays healthy then he'll definitely get called up in January.

I think he had a nice assist the other day. I also believe he was playing in that one game they lost horribly.

A couple friendlies for domestic and Mexican bound players would be good. But I think Porozo should start just based on the fact that he'll be actively playing matches and ready.

He did get a nice assist and overall he plays well as a LB but nothing compared to when he's playing CB.

The coach needs to change it up because the CBs are always caught sleeping towards the final minutes.

Glad to see Alan Franco moving to a team that will give him a lot of playing time.

Also seeing news Porozo might be going to Italy and Rojas might go to Mexico (America).

If the latter 2 rumors are true, it'll be great for the growth of these players.

It'll be interesting to see the midfield combo of Franco and Alcivar if they both start.

Porozo is a beast. He has the physical tools you can't teach. As any young CB he just needs to read the game better. That'll come with experience. I can see him playing in the premier league in the future.

I'm proud of Porozo because he's one of those players that went under the radar due to injuries and club screwing him over (Santos) but he bounced back better than before. It shows how strong he is mentally.

If he goes to Italy I have no doubt he'll bench Torres because Serie A is the best when it comes to nurturing CBs.

El universo has paywalls now. I can’t believe Brazil will have 9 spots for Copa Libertadores next year.

It’s easy to become successful when you are given 7 spots to begin with and are allowed to buy players mid tournament. I think this will become detrimental for the other teams trying to compete.

Shit, Santos barely competed and that other garbage team Cazares plays is not even that good. Throw them in the qualifying stages and they probably won’t get out.

Since you touched the subject of defense. I hope Hincapié’s injury is not that bad.

Agreed - a major cause for concern. One of the big reasons why these guys need some rest or downtime before the big eliminatoria matches. Playing the season + WCQ has always been a tightrope for fitness and conditoning.

Hincapie only had muscle soreness from what I heard and he said he preferred to miss the match and rest to avoid injuries. He on vacation in Ecuador right now.

I've said this before but Torres lucked out. He's a good player but when Arboleda was injured and couldn't play against Paraguay, Chile, and Uruguay Alfaro could have gone with Porozo. But he too was injured or there were issues with him leaving Portugal because of covid.

Nations league games are competitive and fun to watch. I'd take that over playing friendlies.

Agreed. The games have more visibility and it would be ideal to get more playing time against European squads. It forces more accountable games and better competition. This is also a great move to add extra interest in friendlies and add importance to NT play for non world cup activities.
