Wes off after 70. Looks gassed. He was pretty good considering first game after injury. Juve however have been poor and the 2-0 lead is not deserved.

same here ... no problem at all. Wes looked excellent for 70 minutes. First half I thought Artur wanted to single handedly give the game away. Final five minutes looks like pea soup fog.

Not sure I would rate him as excellent but considering this was his 1st game back I thought he did quite well. Certainly the best midfielder roaming the center of the pitch. He had a lot of nice plays on D in this one... I think his positional awareness has improved a lot since joining Juve. I really like Wes as a quality two-way player. Even when he is not making significant waves on O I feel like he still brings merit to the squad.

Juve doing it ugly, but creeping up now within a couple games of a Champions League spot for next year. 1/2 the season left (basically).

I have a hard time believing that Pirlo could not have performed as well as Allegri so far...shame they didn't give him more time with a Ronaldo-less squad...oh well

The team just isn’t good defensively and they don’t keep the ball well enough to make up for it. Wes is the only dude who looks athletic out there for them. Everyone else seems pedestrian.

Yes, but it still might be good enough for them to snag a spot.

I think, though, one still needs to give Allegri *some* benefit of the doubt. He's been here before, and although maybe his magic is less- his experience should be worth something.

If you take out the bad first 3 games of season (late Ronaldo departure), they have played good enough to qualify for Champions League.

I wouldn't bet against their chances.

Yeah maybe. They will need some reinforcement come January. Although they won today they were thoroughly outplayed.

this is why these rumors to Leeds make no sense. Juve is trying to lower their wage bill so that means guys like Ramsey, Arthur and Rabiot would be the most likely to leave. Wes is one of the lowest earners on the team and if he continues to perform, his value will only go up considering his age and nationality

had to love that mini salsa dance after the goal by Cuadrado ... Wes certainly is a character on that squad as shown by the celebration with Wes, Cuadrado and Kean. Slight point but Wes drew a defender away enabling Cuadrado to have a good lane to let it rip.

It's not clear to me how Juventus will improve the team using the proceeds of a McKennie sale. McKennie seems to be amongst their better midfielders and on low wages. How can they do better selling him to a PL club ?

They're not selling Wes unless they get a ridiculous offer from England. (which is possible!)

I've been on the train that Juventus could clearly sell McKennie for a decent chunk of change - 35 million euros - for awhile now.

But I think that's starting to change in the last 2 months. His performances are starting to inch upwards past "better than expected" and "good value", and he legitimately might be the best right now in the central midfield group. I'd be shocked if Juventus sells somebody like that in January, unless they think that the new scandal will wreck them.
