Dam we need to go all out for a new GK then. Leodan Chala doesnt cut it for me as an 8 month Gabba replacement. Now im really talking about going for Gazzaniga, Omar Carabali and shit even Galindez.

Going after Galindez will be hard I dont think Catholica will let him go so easily and part of me didnt think he would want to leave anyways. But it nice to see other fans thinking the same way as me and that it getting attention. Galindez would be a perfect solution. I really like him and he would fit Liga perfectly. Honestly we should sign him and Omar carabali. Prep Omar to be his replacement the same way we did with Dominguez years back. After all this I think it safe to let Gabba go. His age, drop in performance, and now injuries have justified the end to his cycle with us.

He will likely head up some part of the talent development system moving ahead. He seems very invested in staying in Ecuador despite his family's wine business back home.

That would be cool I like seeing players like him retire in Ecuador and take that route. Pablo Saucedo, Alfaro Moreno, Norberto Araujo all have academy.

There are rumor that we already have a GK confirmed for our league to join. I hope it really is Galindez. A few players have been confirmed to leave and we are finally going after Andres Lopez. It a little late to go after him IMO we should have gone after him years ago Id say we are about 3 years late. God dam it Esteban. I guess it was now or never especially now considering there arent many options. We should sign a back up for him as well either Joffre Monroy or Denilson Bolanos. Both interesting and young options we will need it in the future. Christopher Tutalchá is the only option I can think of that can be a good back up LB for Liga. And If we go after a CB Gustavo Vallecilla, Jairo Jimenez, Eddie Guevara are good options. Vallecilla loan is ending if his team doesnt renew and we need a CB I would go for him.

    Players confirmed to leave are:

Pedro Pablo Perlaza, Lucas Villarruel, Moisés Corozo y Luis Ayala

Galindez to Liga seem to be a done deal. Happy to see him finally come to our team. Ive always liked him and always wanted him to come although I never thought he would leave Catholica. Glad he did tho we need him and he a perfect fit for our team.

Marini said he wanted Miguel Parrales. He doesnt interest me at all TBH. I dont think he would fit in out team. Honestly if we are gonna go for a striker I think the options of players we have aboard are much more interesting. Mike Cevallos, Luis Arroyo, even Jordan Gaspar would be interesting to go for.

Jhon Santacruz from Macara seems more promising than Parrales also we are said to be going after Aaron Rodriguez. I hope it true even though Emelec seems be the main option for him.

    That's gonna sting.

    Lots of slots to fill.

The team's deficit is also pretty staggering. Not as big as BSC, but we're definitely entering a few years of possible financial boostrapping until we can get the house in order.

Yes gamboling on foreigners and giving them long contract along with buying older players that were declining in form didnt help our debt problems these past few years. We need to make money so bad. Our only income was selling Alcivar.

On the other hand I was glad to see some name leaves PPP huge decline in form need replacement ASAP, Kaprof never consistently in form was a huge gamble signing him, Villaruel also never consistently in form not needed now with Scotto. I hope we do release Mercado. Dont renew the guy that been constantly injured the past 2 years come on.

Ive threw my ideal local league signing all cheap, young, and very obtainable I hope we see them on our team next season. I can forget my Ideal foreigners even with loan, salary would still be over budget.

We have to start spitting our more youth players. Jhojan Julio is ready for sale. can a Brazilian team please pick him up for 2.5m. Man I wish Guerra and PPP would of have gotten picked up when they getting rumors. Unlucky lost for us as they declined.

For all practical purposes, we'd be counting pennies (even if it's a lot of them) by way of player sell-offs on the first team. The money is made on the cantera - a deep roster of farm system players that can be negotiated abroad on contracts that pay Liga a 2-way windfall (the clause for the youth development + % ownership in the contract). That's a number's game. For every 1 Gonzalo Plata or Hincapie that gets signed elsewhere, we'll have many "busts".

Solvency, too, falls on community engagement (fans, sponsors, and other stakeholders) - deals are better for sponsors and more compelling when matches are well attended and TV ratings are high. Fans are ideally purchasing officially licensed merchandise and paying for tickets to matches. I'd say this is a huge indictment on Ecuadorian footballing culture as a whole - we simply don't pack stadiums or loyally purchase licensed gear....hell, even season ticket packages are low by many standards. Much of this is probably attributable to low wages and tight household budgets, and I can't judge too hard, but as a whole, the league will always suffer due to these social crutches. Whether or not we like to admit it, there is a lot of fair weather attendance as well. This drives me crazy. I don't understand how Liga, Barcelona, and Emelec can't fill up at least half of their stadium on a regular basis.

Leadership helps to alleviate the interest on debt by repackaging it to more favorable interest rates - this is probably the best possible short term fix.

The team will probably skew younger over the next 2-5 years to help keep payroll lower. The challenge is finding the RIGHT senior squad members who can help keep younger guys in check.

We are very far from getting to the football culture you see in stadium in European leagues. I envy MLS because even though football is not the culture here their in stadium experience and support from fans is amazing. Even the new expansion teams that came out manage to get a huge amount of local supporters.

And I agree we will go with a young squad here going forward it our only option really cant spend on signings it a little upsetting that we had to come to this to start looking at our youth properly.

Liga is going after Leonardo Realpe. If Guillermo De los Santos nationalizes him self I would mind him coming to Liga. Galindez fell threw so now we are going after Jorge Pinos. I really hope we go after Omar Carabali as well we need a GK for the future.

Realpe would be a good signing. Would he start tho? You guys have Guerra, Kunty, Ordoñez, and Corozo.

Pinos is a good pickup. He's younger. He can play with his feet.

We are said to have Corozo and Ordonez let go. So Guerra, Kunty would be his competition if that true. I like the idea of him coming but I agree I'm not sure he would have a major role in our team if he does come. I prefer we sign 2 foreign cb bench Guerra, Kunty and a cheap young cb from the local league tipo Jose Flor, Jairo Jimenez, Franklin Carabali but that probably not gonna happen.

Marini said Kunty, Guerra and Piovi would be vital parts to our team next season tho. We really need to change our defense I was liking the Idea of having piovi brother come. Him and another foreign signing like Yonathan Rak a player Marini coached and was the best cb in Uruguay at the time. Would be amazing.

We are being linked to so many weak signing.

    Roberto Luzarraga
    Marco Carrasco
    Abel Luciatti
    Zaid Romero
    Michael Arroyo
    Miguel Parrales

None of those guys above are players I like TBH.

The Rumors I did like were
    Leonardo Realpe
    Jorge Pinos
    Guillermo De los Santos
    Gonzalo Piovi
    Aaron Rodriguez

If we could get those signing I think we could be a very competitive team.

We still have Carlos Rodriguez under contract. Honestly worst case scenerio we get him and Guillermo. There was talks about getting Carlo Nationalized before and Guillermo at this point should be eligible. If we can get them both nationalized that would be amazing.

I think Ive made a list of must sign/cheap/ dont sleep on them signing we can do for this season.
    Jhon Santacruz
Aaron Rodriguez(Probably not the cheapest but we cant let CSE or BSC take him especially considering everyone aboard will be much more expensive and temporary)
Robert Burbano(Always consistent versatile and always preforms)
    Joao Ortiz
Denilson Bolanos, Joffre Monrroy (I would sign both TBH. Kinda like when we signed both Chala and Cruz We should have a RB for years to come)
Carlos Rodriguez, Guillermo De los Santos (I Prefer them over the recently rumored names TBH. We spent money on Rodriguez too lets not waste more money.)
Jorge Pinos, Omar Carabali ( We need a proven GK. Pinos seem perfect for us and would come at the prefect time when we need him the most. Omar Carabali is a must as well for the future. He has potential let prep him for our future starting GK spot)

Honestly if we make these signing we could not sign any foreigners and id be happy.

    Starting XI
    Pinos,
Bolanos, De los Santos, Rodriguez, Cruz
    Angulo, Scotto, Piovi, Gonzalez, Munoz
    Reasco

    Alternatives
    Carabali,
Monrroy, Guerra, Caicedo, De La Cruz
    Quintero, Ortiz, Espinoza, Burbano
    Santacruz, Rodriguez

    Alternatives 2
    Gabbarini,
Ventura, Cabeza, Valencia, De La Cruz
    Quintero, Ortiz, Espinoza, Troya
    Santacruz, Rodriguez

Denilson Bolanos and Jordan Mohor got picked up by Aucas. Jhon Santacruz ended his contract with Macara. He is a free agent atm. I swear if Aucas gets him too we are gonna have no good options left in the local league.

Matías Tissera got rumored for us he is actually a decent signing and should be relatively cheap. Him Reasco and a guy like Jhon Santacruz would be great for next season.

Marcos Ledesma I heard was a great GK in Quilmes in 2nd division but has been benched in DyJ in 1st division. He could still be a good option tho young, cheap, and would probably do great in our league. I would still like Pinos and Omar Carabali tho.

Marini is giving me Claudio Borghi vibes. He was looking at alot of older players. That young CB we just signed seems like a gamble. If we sign foreigners id like them to be more experienced. He seems like he will ride bench and not be able to preform better than Caicedo or Guerra.

Im loosing hope in Marini abilities to make signing. He forced Liga to buy Scotto on a 5 year contract dude hasnt impressed at all yet. All the other options he mentioned are not for a team that will be aiming at winning a final. The only bright side to Romero is him being young and that we didnt hand him a 4 year contract like all the other foreign cb we have been signing. He has a 1 year loan with option to buy.

BSC going after De los Santos...

Every other team is literally making all the moves we should have been doing. I swear if Emelec,BSC, or Aucas Rumors Rodriguez im gonna be mad. Man we are going to be so garbage this season I knew Marini was going to be mediocre.

Liga demanded Penarol buy Rodriguez. There not gonna buy him we should have just cut our losses with him brought him back to the team signed De los Santos and made them bench Kunty and Guerra made them and that Andy Velasco kid work for the starting spot and compete with each other. At least then we would have been competitive and maybe Rodriguez would have drawn interest from MX or MLS if he started a whole season with us and then we could have sold him.

Joao Ortiz to Liga. Last week he was heading to bsc. Yesterday he was heading to Universidad Católica. Ortiz is a good option to replace Alcivar.
