    Boys were overmatched. Nothing shameful.

Game's against Inter are not their league. For relegation strugglers, it's average 1.6 points per game against the rest of the bottom third and 1 point per game against the middle-third. That gets you to 32-24 points. Nick 4-5 points from the EL-capable sides and you're safe. Against the CL sides it's all about damage limitation. On that basis, a 2-0 loss to Inter is quite creditable.

Nervy play early at top of his box, otherwise solid but not spectacular as always.

That's the champs. Venezia are relegation favorites outperforming, with some credit for that to Busio and a few other new players. If you'd offered them one point from their combined four matches vs the Milan clubs at the beginning of the season - they'd have taken it.

So fun to root for these guys to stay up with two Yanks and a third playing for the reserves. Much more fun than Juve.

Busio looks + plays as if he is the son of Pirlo and Mo Salah (if they could have a baby together). I see a lot of both of them in him (unfortunately he got Pirlo's speed). Look at his videos and tell me I am wrong.....:)

By the way, at this age (and for some perspective), Salah was still playing in the Egyptian league!!....before Basel, before his failed stint at Chelsea, before his loans in Italy and way before Liverpool!

Pirlo at this age was just starting at AC Milan...and apparently didn't impress because they loaned him out to Reggina and then Brescia......it wasn't until both players hit around 23 years old that their careers really started to zoom...

Are you saying he plays like Pirlo and resembles (physically) Salah?

Such a tough row of fixtures for Venezia. Inter (L).. now Atalanta, then Verona, Juve and Sampa and Lazio. The Verona and Sampa games are winnable... to get 2 or 3 points out of the others would be a great way to finish 2021.

Nice to see our Boys smack dab in the middle of the action today. Too bad I can't watch it live... which means I will have to wait hours afterwards for Para+ to actually post the replay. Why do they lag so hard with the replays?

Yikes... down 2-0 already. Maybe I won't bother with the replay.

I am watching a UK BTSport feed. The English announcers are going out of their way to hammer home how badly Tessman and Busio are playing, and how their failures are responsible for both goals.

I have noticed a bit of this recently from English announcers in particular... going out of there way to constantly reiterate any mistake a US player makes on the pitch. In the last Europa Game w/ Sam Vines it was particularly bad... Vines gave up possession near the halfway line and it led to a Frankfurt goal... it was a mistake but it wasn't completely awful... 9 times out of 10 it comes to nothing... but in this case it did.... and the announcer kept harping on it all game long. What was worse? He barely mentioned that the assist on the goal was a fantastic pass from Chandler... who is also a YA.

No child acts or looks 100% like one parent. :)

Having said, in his game- he runs like Salah sometimes in short bursts (kindof scoots on the ground) and plays a few balls like Salah as well. But mostly
plays like Pirlo and Pirlo's physical (or lack thereof) gifts.

For looks, I'll let you decide the mix. ;)

Man, that shot he took was a beauty knuckleball. I love the inspiration behind it. If he could learn to get a bit more mustard on it. That shot looked like either Pirlo or Salah would take it. Bravo.

The English announced on the DAZN broadcast I'm watching has been quite fair, and was complimenting both of them - especially Busio - early on.

He does suffer from a bit from the ailment of never being able to shut the f&*# up - at some point he was blathering about the "potency of Muriel" - but generally as fair to Tessmann and Busio as to the rest of the Venezia cannon fodder.

    Impossible to get a result.

Atalanta are really good, they should of beaten united in both games but Cristiano saved them.
