y'know, there was a lot of hand-wringing by various people about us playing on against watford when sarr was supposedly hurt in the collision with maitland-niles and i'm, like, eh? it's bullshit like this @2:05

like, bro . . . your own players are playing around your faking ass. why should any opposition be kicking the ball out? they later had another one with masina on leicester's 4th goal.

Ragnick confirmed today by ManUre. But he still waiting for work papers so his involvement in our match Thursday is still slightly up in the air.

Swiss Ramble reviewed the Real financials

Short version, despite dumb mistakes like signing Hazard and the Bale albatross, Real are in great shape all things considered. Basically (like Man Utd) they are a cash generating machine, and also raised a tonne of money via sales.

So basically they will likely emerge strongly from the pandemic 20/21 shock whereas Barca are in huge trouble

Barca are going out and making bids for pure optics because financially they're in shambles for at least 3 more seasons. Madrid are fine, same as United. I expect them to be active shoppers this summer.

Ciaran Clark does a stupid and gets a straight red early for Newcastle.

Surely Norwich get a win. They have a half against 10 man Toon.

You can never tell these days !

I don’t actually think that Fraser is any great loss ..they have St Maxi and Shelvey so anything is possible..

Even Joelinton seems reborn now he’s actually scored a goal :)

Its a real shame Amazon is doing All or Nothing Arsenal and not Nothing or Nothing Newcastle.
    Great goal from Pukki though.

saint maximin feels like an insane equalizer for situation like that. dude can make crazy shit happen.

joelinton feels like he could be interesting wide but seems generally terrible up front.

not trying to argue with you because i genuinely don't know and swiss ramble shit goes over my head . . .

but is barca not also a cash generating machine? i mean, i get that real have managed to raise more funds via sales than barca in recent time but is the difference that big?

£60 Million for a forward who can't score in front of goal.

    Ashley was a fool.

Forgot to mention: RIP Ray Kennedy. Part of Arsenal's '71 double winners, then helped Liverpool become European titans later in the decade.

motherfu . . . . i had heard that he was their record signing but, holy shit, that's a lot of money.

i sort of feel like they have some nice pieces that they could work with/around to create a viable team that can promote back to premier league in a year or two. i wonder how much room howe will have to just clean house.

it's so weird. i've always had a soft spot for them because i like how dedicated their fan-base is and they just have that . . . plucky-team-that-never-could feel. but it's so damn hard to root for a club with that ownership.

and that's a mouthful given ours is owned by the damn waltons.

Interesting in the Bundesliga big teams have this attitude when they go down - but then they discover 2BL is extremely competitive and a BL1 throw the cash around strategy doesn't work very well vs organic, efficient teams that have been well constructed. I do wonder if it would be that easy for Bone Saw FC in the championship with a lack of glamour and plenty of decent sides.
