McKennie almost had a really thunderous goal on the half-volley, and then kind of really had a hand in helping Pulisic's sub grab a goal.
Again. Reminder to click on this guy's profile and venmo him a few bucks. If interested . 1463291623106920457 is not a valid tweet id
And the extended cut. Dude was everywhere! And his touch, collecting the ball at full speed on the run is so tight!
He had a very, very good game. The only dumb thing was at the very end. So at least they did not lose 1 to 0 because of that last mistake. But he had an awesome game, nonetheless! And skill wise, I don’t understand what is better about Mount as some have said. McKennie has elevated his game this season, and he is really a force to be reckoned with
Uh that was obvious a year ago. Is this more of they didn't want it to be true so...la la la la...I'm not seeing it. Or are they that terrible a judge that they need a full year of subpar play from those players to finally call it?
Juve fans have been moaning that none of the Juve midfielders are "Juve quality" with the possible exception of Locatelli. Even Loca has started to get some grief for his performances.
If he continues to play at this level then I feel like he’s our most complete player. He’s got an engine, aggression, speed, 1v1 defending, vision, sound decision making, passing accuracy, and the ability to shoot. Aside from his engine/aggression I wouldn’t say all of those positives are top notch, but he does so many things so well that his game right now is arguably world class.
I don't think he's world class, which implies he could step into any midfield in the world and at least be a rotation option if not outright starter -- he's not there, he's close, but he's not quite there. He's a bit of a jack of all trades master of none, which is fine, but to get to world class I think he'd have to make a big jump in his overall technical ability. His tactical sense has improved by leaps and bounds at Juve the little defensive plays he makes and flicks in transition are easily the most advanced of any US midfielder at the moment, and stands out at Juve as well. But technically he still has some pretty poor moments each game. He tries things, which is good, but it doesn't come off too often for someone that we'd call "world class" imo. Doesn't mean he can't get there, he's still only 23, but he'd need another big jump. He already made one, this one would be harder but who am I to say he can't do it with another couple years of hard work.
Wouldn't you call him a 10? Kante is a great 8 and even though he is a great player he isn't a great attacker!
Honestly I think the number system is horribly constraining and we could argue all day about who is and who isn't an 8, or a 6, or whatever.
Most of us are thinking he’s turned a corner from the sloppy touches he had for the beginning of this season and somewhat last season.
