I meant to but forgot to watch PAN-USA last night, so caught up with it today on P+. So I didn't suffer from their late posting of the match. But I would like to offer one bit of praise for P+ (in the context of mucho criticism about deficiencies that I've heaped on streamers in the past)... P+ has a very spoiler free interface. When searching for the replay, there wasn't one tile or still which gave away the result. And that cannot be said for the other streamers who've been at this a bit longer than CBS has.
I was able to watch it live and I was very pleased with how much bumper coverage they had of the US match.
I watched it later and was thankful that they posted the pre- & post-game shows. Many of the other streamers just offer the match itself for reply and none of that pre/post production... NBC comes to mind. And it brings me back to the thought I've been having for a few years, ever since major media streaming came to the fore: that the streamers should all adopt a baseline of best-of-breed features, so as to make for a consistently good service across the board, and also a more universal style of GUI that makes it easier for the customer when switching between streamers. There may still be room for product differentiation I guess, but the basic design or core set of features, shouldn't be unique or patentable, and should be available and dependable across all platforms. Is this naive thinking in our uber-competitive capitalistic world?
My thoughts exactly....I called Paramount Plus customer service and they claimed that they stream live feeds as they 't lknoreceive them and do not insert or remove ads, I don't know wahat to make of it either. I am hoping it was a one-time goof, but I will be watching another match following this one, and hope that it was an ananomaly. PS. I switched to TUDN while the ads were running and their broadcast was not interrupted by ads.
Yeah, they definitely messed up inserting that ad and it wasn't from the UEFA feed. I miss the nightly recap show. They have just about every other clip available, but I miss the 25 minute ish show every night of the CL. I don't have time to watch 15 minute poorly edited match events highlights they seem to make in-house.
I'm with you, I like a show of hosted highlights. The Golazo! show is great though. It took me awhile to figure out it is not in "highlights" when looking for it in the evening. I think it is in "other". This week, however, I've been fortunate enough to watch it live while working. What a great way, though perhaps overly distracting, to get through the work day! But it is available in the evening also. Of course it is a lot longer than 25 minutes.
I'm watching HJK Helsinki vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the audio temporarily switched to something else, and I don't know if it was from the game in another language.
CBS Sports Network and Paramount+ got partial rights for the English Women's Super League starting next season.
Missed JAM-USA live, so had to watch P+ “match replay” Is there any legit reason why CBS includes absolutely zero extra coverage other than the match itself? No studio/analysis, no pregame, no HT, no highlights.
I think they just have a crappy interface (depending on what hardware you are using). I watched the match on delay on Roku and then on the main CONCACAF Qualifiers page there was a link to the post-game show. So it was there, but hard to find. Watching the CAN-MEX now. Best part is when announcers feed goes down for 10 minutes in the second half. The guy doing play-by-play was really poor. While I'm griping, aren't there any proper soccer pitches in Canada? Playing an international game on a gridiron plastic field? Ridiculous. (I know why Canada wanted to play in Edminton for the weather, but please you are a rich country you should be able to host a match on a proper pitch)
Nope. It's being broadcast by Paramount+ in Australia from tomorrow as they won the domestic rights from FOX. Nothing announced for USA. ESPN+ have been showing this season's FFA Cup from Australia, not sure if that's part of the same broadcast rights package. If no-one has the US rights in theory it should be streamed live on Youtube
Just a reminder that tomorrow's AFC Champions League Final will be on Paramount+ at 11:00am. Al Hilal vs. Pohang Steelers. Should be a good match
And there it is again ... Paramount messing up midway through a CL game again. First a signal error message and then 90 seconds of commercial in the middle of 1st half of Man City x PSG game stream.
Posted in the past couple hours, possibly sorted now. https://keepup.com.au/news/isuzu-ute-a-league-international-broadcasters-youtube
Looks like Paramount is not showing the most important match of the day - Porto v Atletico. They have 3 streams showing Donetsk v Sheriff. Yikes! Edit: Also not showing Real Madrid v Inter Milan. Edit2: Okay, they finally got it sorted 17 minutes into the games.
Lol....Paramount Plus champions league streams on website are messed up again. Real Madrid v Inter takes you to golazo show Porto v Atletico takes you to Shakhtar v Sheriff
