Been good, just really busy. Not much time for BSMX unfortunately. How are things on your end? Last time I was on I think you had just gotten a new job in Atlanta maybe?

    Mexico is consistent.
    Consistently mediocre. LOL

When are you guys going to learn? All these recycled discussions and arguments happen every cycle. Time to accept the fact Mexico is all about marketing and no real talent. At least not the talent required to take the next big step.
In a county with 120+ million people with 20 mill male between 15-30 years old and you can't finds 22 world class players? LOL
    Think about that.

Jimenez to get back to the player he was once? What has he done in these games? He hasn't missed a ton of chances because there hasn't been a ton of chances. If anything he showed to be light years ahead of Funes Mori.

LOL at only posted his numbers. Do you think people are stupid?

Post a totally biased list with notes where certain players get all the pros and one gets all the cons. Nobody buys his bullshit. Turn around and get all "It must be the followers". El Cliche del Cliche.

In other words, pre broken skull Jimenez, not sure he can ever get back to that. Funes mori has shown nothing that merits him being on the national team, I rather we die with cheech out there at least he’s technically “in form”

In what way is it pre broken skull Jimenez? Supposedly he's still Wolves best player. With the NT he hasn't looked bad, if anything he and Lozano have looked head above shoulders the rest. Also there is no way Chicharito is at a better level than Raul.

Why did Tata insist David Ochoa, Alvarez , and Julian Araujo switch national teams if he was not going to use them at all ?? At this point is just seems we c@@caked blocked them for the hell of it.

Tatas coaching tactics aren’t the problem. A lot of the times NT coaches get stuck with the mindset that they need to call up the same players during the 4 years they are in charge. Osorio didn’t have that problem because most players where young enough. However he also had no problem in phasing players out and or calling up younger players. Tatas problem are not his tactics, but expecting certain players to produce at the level they did 2-3 years ago, when they are either getting too old or are in bad form. Mexico is in a fine spot. Probably have the easiest schedule remaining out of the top 4 teams given that most are home games and the two away games are against the two weakest Concacaf teams. No crowds will definitely now help as they’re will be less pressure. So Tata better not ******** this up and better call up some younger and new players for the Chile friendly.

Player level isn't the thing when you are level with the US in the 1st half and then Berhalter adjust things at halftime and you have no response. Or that you veto your promising LB and then have no substitue when he sucks. Young players will be called for Chile just as they were for Ecuador.

Let me just clear up I have no issue with us putting Jimenez out there, I don’t think he is pre injury Jimenez form but he still looks dangerous when given the opportunity, I thought his shot from outside the box last night at the end of the game was going in. Just saying I think cheech should not be blacklisted, we are simply not deep enough at the position and we’ve had trouble scoring for a while now. Jimenez is our #1 scoring option though, no denying that.

Chicharito should have been definitely been called up for the Gold Cup along with Funes Mori and over the carcass of Alan Pulido. He might deserve a call up now as a striker but he would definitely not be the answer or the impact. He's a box predator that depends on service and he's not going to get it in these matches were the midfield is so disconnected from the three guys up top.

Playing a past his prime Chicharito is a what if as well. As you're using his past to some what project into the future.

Anyhow. We're currently being abused physically so adding a guy who makes us worse in that department is again. Not the right idea for this team.

Those dudes wouldn't make any difference, they're meh.

We have the talent to play better, but not under Tata. I don't mind losing to Canada & the US in their turf (I'm mad about the tie at the Azteca though), they've won against us with lesser talent before, I'm worried because this Mexico team has looked bad every single time this year and it doesn't look like Tata is even trying to fix it. And we saw this happen under Chepo De La Torre.

Even Jimmy Lozano's match against Panamá (before the Olympics) looked better.

Maybe not a difference yet, but if we don't give them a chance why would future prospects pick us? David Ochoa is good enough to at least get called up as a 3rd keeper as is Malagon Acevedo and Gudiño. Araujo might go to Europe soon surely he's not worst than Gallardo.

Just what exactly is Julian Araujo’s merit though? I feel like people are getting pulled into the MLS hype. He’s really only played in the MLS thus far and he was one of the worst nad players in Olympic qualifiers.

That said, I’m all for David Ochoa getting called up instead of the dinosaurs that we usually have as second and third options.

Honestly, I don't really care if any future prospect pick us. They can choose whatever NT they feel more related to, or give them better chances of succeding, but that doesn't mean we should call guys just because. Alvarez is trash, I didn't see why he played as much as he did under Tata. If we're gonna depend on dual nationals, then we're reaaaally bad.

Guys like Acevedo should have been called, now that's true. We should have transitioned to the Olympic guys better, even Montes starting was because of Moreno's injury.

But even having these guys playing, the team would seem just as toothless, the way we've playing just expose our weaknesses instead of playing to our strenghts.

We played against Canada at the Azteca & Edmonton like we were the smaller team ffs, they had Davies & Larin, that's good, but the guys that were causing havoc were MLS caliber (Buchanan and the guy that looks like a cartoon character). Their freaking defense is MLS caliber and we never tried to expose it. At the end, with little effort we made them look like fools, because, well... that's a bad defense. But it was more because they sat back and our guys were fired up (and we had more guys from the mid joining the attack, especially HH)... the real question is why they're never fired up. Tata can't motivate them for sh*t.

You can say we have bad defenders, which is partially true, but look at the guys at defense for Canada, come on... we expose our guys more playing the way we do. Trying to play cute when the other teams ALREADY know how we'll play, with that huge distance between our defense and midfield and their high press we always end up making bad passes to them... but it has been against basically every team we have played this year. Even T&T and ESA.

Being the less athletic side in the pitch is normal for us in this area (except against ESA, Guatemala & sometimes CR), yet the fool in charge never adjusted to that.

Doesn't hurt to throw Araujo in a molero. Gallardo is garbage rn Arteaga and Araujo can't be much worst. In the end there will be high level pochos because the US system is not as corrupt as Mexico with young players. This team desperately needs an injection of youth and pace. It's still a shame the one pocho they should have gone after they did not persue lol Marcelo Flores should get a look already though, just to start incorporating him to the team.

On a positive note, el piojo alvarado looked like someone that was hungry and unfazed by the cold. Dude came in and had 2 decent chances plus the header that went Sanchez way that almost led to a 2-2 draw.

I really hope this time he calls up young GKs though. I was upset he called up those old never weres in Orosco and Cota, they showed their ineptitude in that game.we need to do like the US and get new blood at GK.
