i Find it funny that we all the massive shit problems mexican fut has, we seem to always blame the coaches..
There are enough numbers and stats to conclude that this is Javier Hernandez career in a nutshell. It can be extended to the MEXTOURs in the USA which is where a significant number of Javier’s goals come from. Javier is a decent player in his own way but the issue is not Javier, it’s the role his image plays in Mexican football.
The root of the problem no doubt is the structure itself, and the coach only plays with what he has, but Tata has done himself no favors recently. -lost 3 straight games to the biggest rival in the region in progressively worse fashion -failed to win a regional tournament where his biggest competitor sent a B squad -tactical stubbornness and what appears to be waning adjustment/decision-making acumen with respect to subs -blacklisting of players in positions where current starters are failing to deliver or creating errors and getting beat tactically and physically. I’m sure there are other factors at play here we can’t possibly know about, and I’ll admit qualifying, for now, is still on pace. Does it appear though that he’s getting the best out of the player pool at his disposal? I don’t think so. I think he’s on the downward slope of the curve of his tenure and even if he qualifies it will be the same story. Of course, another coach may get the same or worse results…
I wouldn’t shed a tear if Tata gets sacked. The question is, who replaced Tata? Who is available right now?
Not asking for Tata’s resignation nor ruling it out but such contrast in their tone/words.
I agree with this but el Tata can only work with what he has. Right for example right winger. Orbelin is an improvised RW and after him, who else does Mexico have that starts on ANY team in the world? Briseño, Huerta, Aquino, Elias Hernández? We have Lainez and he can maybe offer something but he does not have 5 full matches played in the last 3 years. Lainez has 10 times more photos uploaded to social media with his dog than he does matches played. On the left, after Chucky, who? Who do we have IN THE WORLD, that can offer something remotely close to Chucky? We all know the drama with a 9. Whether or not people like Javier Hernandez his playing style in the league he is in, is Mexico’s hope reliant on one player who is rolling on 35? Tata can only work with what he has. Mexico has gone through 20 DT since 1990: more than Germany, Uruguay, Italy, Brazil etc. Even the US and Canada has had less coaches. The latter both changed the structure. Mexico also needs to. This recent USA/Mexico was not a case like the others donde USA le ganó a Mexico de pansazo, le ganó bien. I have even started with the influence Mexican TV and/or sports media has on Mexican fútbol. He did take too long to make changes if he was able to see. There are enough matches to gather data and conclude that his tactical decisions are more reactionary rather than being assertive. I have previously mentioned this but “running” is not a bad thing. Mexico has struggled with players that run and move for 90 minutes. That is where modern football is this day in age. There isn’t one Mexican player that will change the panorama for Mexico. Not Lainez, not Arteaga and not Javier Hernandez. All decent players in their own way. On a completely but relevant side note, that channel TU-Dene is an up most sh1tbag of a channel. Fooking escoria.
I’m surprised people don’t realize you’re talking about none other than player-DT Cuauhtemoc Blanco This would be a totally different discussion
If they don't get points from Canada the signal will go out to Monterey! El Vasco Aguirre will take over!
I approve. For the lulz Let's not kid ourselves, Mexico isn't winning shit. Might as well make it a spectacular failure.
If you’re gonna sack him it’s best to do it now with the long gap in between the next matches. But they won’t. Direct qualification is officially in jeopardy.
