I don't know about his rhythm and maybe not as sharp as his best but he certainly was running the field and playing in defense too. Got an assist too off a dead ball if I recall. I thought he was immediately better than anything we had in mf tonight in possession. I'd play him at home.
I know it was only for about 15 minutes but I agree he looked awfully slow, almost "thick" in build, and static. A waste of a sub really. Really hope he can make a difference with any minutes vs Paraguay.
And still he unlocked the only counters of importance we had in the final ten minutes and was the only player able to keep possession and not just punt it back... We need more alts at this position badly.
I'll rewatch the last 10 again. Except for a corner kick I don't recall any "counters of importance" or true threat that we had in final 10 but I do recall James losing possession quite easily a couple times and also having to come all the way to our half to ask for the ball. THIS last game is exactly why those points lost vs Ecuador (H) and Bolivia (A) hurt.
i was talking aout the match of qatar......that i almost agree with the post of twitter above.....despite @ryu79 said Anyone who watched that match would tell you that's false. regarding yesterday 10 minutes is few time....to judge...but in some plays that he recived the ball that before you expected a pass of nowhere or shot....he lost easy...(difficult balls) but not seem him anymore like our game changer...
i would love cuadrado-cb--cb.....yairo cuellar cantillo valoyes james diaz Borja A lot of footballl out there...
It sucks we haven't taken care of business. Now we have to play safe and get a result. I'd love to see it myself but I know we'll go conservative. Now if we go down 0-1 to Paraguay, Reuda better throw everything we have at them. Can't settle for the tie, must win.
Imagine being good looking, having that much success as an athlete, be probably the golden boy for a whole ass country for years and you act like a 13 y/o insecure teenager.
