Looking at Pacific what will they do if they have 2 interim coaches that is interesting?

I would assume this time Kentucky will not be hiring an assistant.

Maryland land a good coach I personally think that program can grow quickly. Good soccer region, solid facilities, decent campus from what I recall driving around some of it a decade ago.

I would expect Akron to be open within the next few days.

Northern Kentucky have been a strange team to watch this year. Not talking about them on the hot seat they have just been an odd unit game to game.

What happened at USC Upstate? That’s a program that is destined to never do well.

I have been beating the Colorado State drum recently with negative comments about the staff coming out through club coaches and just heard more this evening. Sounds like a mass exodus after the season is done: players despise the staff and they miss Hempen’s genuine care for their well-being.

Arizona seem to be a total mess. Maybe they will pick things up in the future and become a lot more competitive but the new coach has quickly dismantled all the good work Tony did.

Heard UW-Green Bay is open. Anyone know what happened there? They we’re having a good season, weird that it happened before the end of the season.

Arizona was turning into a revolving door of players and in recent years led the nation in transfers. Tony's time had come there and he knew it which is why he left. The same fire sale will happen at UF.

Why even bring up Colorado St and Arizona? CSU, in Hagen's 1st season, will have the 2nd best record in their program's (short) history. Arizona, yeah, tough year - also nowhere to hide in the Pac12 for a 1st year coach who lost most of her key players (should we have @ytrs go through the list AGAIN?).

I noticed that you omitted Wyoming - another team you like to talk down because they have a young, female head coach who doesn't have the CV that you would like to see. A very respectable first year from Corbin at 8-10-1.

Just....give it a rest. Talk about programs/coaches actually on the hot seat on the Hot Seat thread...

Just bringing up some of the gossip surrounding various programs.

As for Wyoming, I don’t know much about the coach there and haven’t heard much either.

After reading that link to the Idaho State coaching change it seems like she’s only been there a few years. Seems a little early to pull the trigger surely? Looking at the results of the previous coach it doesn’t look like she’s really done any worse. Would have thought she would have been given a few more seasons.

Any idea what happened at Green Bay? I think that coach was only there a few years too.

Your agenda is obvious, Dude. I take it you did not get the job. She just got there this summer. AZ lost 5 players to transfer. She was left with an thin hand to play. People were coming for the LSU and Oklahoma coach last year. They have both made strides this fall. AZ coach as been on the job since mid-June (4 months!!!), and has had zero recruits of her own to fit HER style.

She has still had a pretty brutal season after inheriting a good program. Poor job so far. Maybe it will get better though.

How can you say it is a poor job. She got dealt a weak hand. I have heard that players like her very much and she is a breath of fresh air. Maybe she is establishing a culture. You have no clue.

Florida went 4-11 this year, yet no criticism from you? Just shots at the woman who got the job over you.

    Not taking sides but..

UA went 1-8 in conference compared to 4-5-1 last year and 4-12 overall compared to 9-5-1.

UF went 3-6-1 in conference play compared to 1-6-1last year. They went 4-11-3 overall compared to 6-8-3.

Would appear UF inherited a team that struggled last year and showed improvement in conference play but not out of conference. UA inherited what I would think was an NCAA bubble team and did worse in conference and overall.

At the end of the day both of these programs did not have good years, but as with every other hire only time will tell.

Based on the post by outside view Florida are trending better this year while Arizona are trending down. Just pointing out the obvious. As I said maybe it will get better next year.

Florida would have had a hard time trending worse though. Just like Michigan State. They inherited bottom standing teams. AZ was dealt a mid-level standing history, with an empty cupboard due to top player(s) transfering out.

Point stands; Arizona trending down and Florida trending up. Bad season for Arizona. Will see what happens once she has been given time.

Oklahoma has made zero strides since the last coaching administration. History repeating itself from Carr's USF days. Perpetual losing record and dozens of complaints of abuse.

You are a jackass. We all know you lost out on the job. You are so bitter that some admins in the women's game want female coaches.

You cannot trend down when you start at the bottom (see Florida and Michigan State). ;)

Not at all. There are lots of great female coaches, in the same way there are a lot
Of great male coaches. Your posts have demonstrated that you simply hate men.

Arizona are trending down and Florida up.this can’t be disputed based on results. I’m not dismissing the Arizona coach as a failure im just stating that this year they have been worse than under the previous coach. I’m not saying they won’t be better in the future.

Arizona lost again yesterday. Apparently a lot of the players are unhappy with the staff and how the coach consistently berates them.

I do agree with YTRS on Amato though. Florida aren’t doing great.

I find it interesting the amount of positions that have opened so quickly, before the end of the season. Chris at Villanova is a pretty shady guy in general and I’m not surprised he was dismissed but something must have happened where they couldn’t even let him finish the season.

Matt Kagan getting another job at Wash State was really weird. Guys gets canned for abusing his athletes (one racially) and he gets another power five gig. Some people have more lives than a cat.
