They lost 5 players to transfer during the coaching change, including their best player to USC. Same with Florida taking a further dive. Likely lost players (recruits) while coaching search was going on. Give the new coaches time.

    And forfeited two conference games.

Michigan State lost their starting Center Back and is likely going to be one the most improved P5 women's soccer teams in the nation. 10 wins, winning Big10 record, after winning 1 game last Spring.

Before this thread goes away, I for one, would like to admit I had major doubts about the situation there with the Grand Valley coach coming over and bringing the forward Ava Cook with him. Not only does she lead the team in scoring and has proven that a good "D2 player" can score and score important goals at a D1 program in a P5 conference, I saw this interview and was very impressed with her. So hard to be handed a head set and stare into a camera with Dean Linke firing off questions.
Wish her and MSU All the best. (eating some crow right now)

And, this shows why he did a nice job. He brought in players from his previous school that could help. He also only had one way to go (up) based on the situation he inherited. He has done a great job. No denying that. But he did not inherit Arizona's situation or Florida's situation. Very different circumstances.

Arizona was solid in their conference under Tony, and then the new coach lost several starters during the transition, including their leading goal scorer. She could not bring players in from a previous insitution since she was in the pros.

Tony did not poach players from AZ to go to Florida. He played with the hand he was dealt from the previous staff. I am not familiar enough with that team to know if they also lost transfers/recruits in transition.

Wrong again. Player was eligible from NCAA, twice. Compliance also deemed eligible. One of the worst things anyone has ever seen in how it was handled from the conference.

Just another smoking gun with that coach. Seems to be a trend here.

You never stop. You lose a recruiting battle? You get embarrassed on the sideline?

No way a coach would knowingly play an ineligible player OR an athletic department allow such a thing. Especially when the program broke nearly all records in one season. Why knowingly jeopardize that? Especially when the coach in question has done nothing but win, wherever he's been (NAIA, DII, and now DI).

It's idiotic to think that anyone would do this. It's even more idiotic to continue to anonymously troll. Get more educated. Keep your whispers to yourself.

It just seems to be shady situation after shady situation with that coach. Clearly not a good guy.

ThePonchat (Let's just call you Sean shall we) Everyone knows you cheated and you got caught. Take your punishment like an adult and move on. You talking about breaking records at ULM like those records were tough to break. Very easy to break records when the bar is set so low.

ULM won't fire you because let's face it, your at Louisiana Monroe and no one wants that job.

Don't worry about denying that your Sean Fraser, everyone on here know the truth.

Haha, I don’t think he tries to hide who he is (and it’s not Sean Fraser).

Literally, there's so much wrong it all of this.

There's been absolutely ZERO issues where Sean has been: Midland, Charleston (WV), Lincoln Memorial, and now ULM. This issue is a non-issue. Cleared twice by NCAA. Cleared by institutional compliance. It should be something that is turned around by NCAA. This falls back on the conference overstepping boundaries.

How is it possible for the NCAA to clear her and the compliance office as well and then she is deemed ineligible. There is no way that is the truth.
The only way that could be possible is if somehow her high school start date was forged or something else shady like that and someone proved it.

If the eligibility center says you are qualifier then that’s it you are good, no problem. What I think happened is a major compliance error at ULM.

I’m not so sure it will. Villanova are clearly keen to keep this one quiet and have allowed the coach to resign and save face officially. We still haven’t really heard what actually happened even via people in this forum. Truth may never come out and he could well lend back on his feet at another program even if he shouldn’t be coaching college athletes anymore.

Schools never truly say. They can’t. That’d be a huge lawsuit. Haven’t we been through this enough to know this much?

As I mentioned LMU was likely to change and it will be official soon. CSUN still likely but with state school and union representation it might be a little further out on being official but looks to be as well.

Agreed. The fact that they actually gave the guy a quote is laughable. It makes his exit seem benign compared to what actually happened. They can certainly let him resign to avoid any legal fights, but giving him a quote. Definitely seems to be the act of a school who has no intention of letting the truth out.

    Another follow up.
I believe it was a user @FutbolFan15 that was slamming Towson here pretty aggressively a while back. I am no fan of KV, and Towson does lots of things on the cheap, but she hired good hard-working assistants and they seem to be trending pretty well. The CAA only has a 4-team tournament. If it was 6, Towson would be in it. I'm not sure what Towson can expect really but this is getting pretty close.

Yes Fall2021, waiting for the truth to come out. I will have interest reading about the multiple investigations and claims once it's actually stated, because we are still waiting to hear of any specifics.
I will also be curious as to why Villanova will have expressed "nothing but the best" and allowed for an outgoing quote when those things are occurring, as you state. Typically situations pertaining to abuse, compliance violations, unethical behavior, etc. are met with short terse statements. I typically don't look too much into a release statement like this. But I'll just wait to hear whatever the final outcomes are when the truth does come out as you mentioned.

From the little I have heard about the dismissal there is some credibility to the people saying the athletes went into the administration about the coach. I don’t have specifics though so I have no idea what the issues were.

Players went to administration about CM for 5 years straight…the truth will be stated. Players will tell their stories.
