He should just tell them he needs to come to watch the Buccaneers play in Washington. Chelsea's been ok before with Puli leaving to party with Brady.

    this is for league games.

23 goals in 9 games = 2.5 goals per game (that's quite high)

however, if you take out the 7-1 drubbing of Norwich last week then this is what you're looking at.

16 goals in 8 games = 2 goals per game (that is still a pretty decent goal per game rate)

but with the ways TT set up his team for most games, i would anticipate that they would win majority of games by a margin of 1 goal instead of 2 or 3 goals through out the season.

So you think the rest of the season will go against the current stats.

how many of these players are fresh off a long lay off being injured?

How many of them have the career injury record as Pulisic?..He's fully labeled as Injury prone now.

How many of them have played more game for their International team than their club this season?..Chelsea pays his wages in full..and it's not cheap..170k per week.

So Pulisic is a very special case which demand special attention...No one is saying he shouldn't play International matches at all..but for this window only, I believe it would be in his best interest to skip it..His health should be the main priority right now.

TT just said that CP will not be in the squad this weekend, but should be available for the Burnley match.

Also, he didn’t mention the midweek champions league game. So maybe he forgot about that game?

We’ve eclipsed 50 days for a ankle knock that was supposed to take 10. And the only reason he’s not playing is pain tolerance.

just keeping everyone up to date on the timeline. Apologies can still be sent!

I think they're more likely to win games by 1-0 instead of 3-0. But what do I know, I am just a guy behind a computer screen on a soccer chat forum. Lol

The stats you quoted show around 2-3 GPG, yet you think it's more likely they win 1-0?

    I hope you don't gamble!

I don't, because I would bet based on my gut feelings.

Chelsea's attack is much more dynamic this year with the addition of Lukaku. Depending on who is on the field they can attack in a variety of ways and styles.

My gut says they win by 2+ more often than not.

My hope is that we get to Pulisic play alongside Lukaku for an extended run of matches. I think they could develop into a lethal combination. That’s not to say that Lukaku and <insert player> aren’t already lethal but my assumption is that he draws more attention than an average striker thus giving CP a little more room to operate.

    an ankle knock?

    Pain tolerance?

9 Nov would be 8 weeks from a grade 2 ankle sprain ... he is right on schedule folks ...

injury prone ... perhaps - this injury happened before - normal ligaments don’t allow that inward fold.

no he should not be called in against Mexico -

he should continue to train with the Chelsea squad -‘d gradually build back to match fitness.

wow folks here just have no clue what patience really means.

but please ignore common sense and tell me how the sky is falling.

and let’s not forget that the other golden child - Gio - is also still out injured. Is that sky falling as well?

hint - these are professional athletes and at the margins they play injuries are part of life.

frankburgers likes to quote the 10 day timeline because noted physio Thomas Tuchel mentioned it right after the injury...probably before the pain doctors got a chance to look at it and render their opinion.

This thread would improve 1000% if people would stop repeating the same ********ing posts about whether he is or is not injury prone. Nobody is going to win that game, so please stop playing it.

Isn't that true of every league team? OK, maybe not, for example, Celtic and Rangers in the SPL, but to me, this is a very banal observation.
I wish there was a way to ignore posters in a specific thread, but not the whole forum. Like, there are a couple of dudes I'd like to block in the Sargent thread, but I appreciate their posts elsewhere.

For me, that's frankburgers in the Pulisic thread.

This right here is internet gold. I was going to apologize to the guy for him being such an asshole and his lack of reasoning skills that allowed him to deduce he was right.
