I didn't even mention the scoliosis. Of course, with all those obvious issues, his availability will ultimately come down to whether he has an awareness of them or not.
Because this still irritates me...his ankle flattened to the OUTSIDE. I'm used to sprains going inside, because I think that's what an ankle is more designed to do...the way he rolled it, it's honestly surprising that he didn't tear his ankle ligaments AND eff his knee up. If anything, this is evidence that his joints are actually pretty darn strong. So many players would have snapped a bunch of things there
Let's hope he stays healthy for a while..He'll probably get stoppage time minutes this Saturday and maybe 10 minutes the next next match. I would still recommend him to skip the upcoming international windows.
Why would you recommend that a healthy Pulisic skip two of the most important matches of his career? If he's healthy he should be called in. The if all he is ready to play is 10-30 minutes, so be it. We can sure as hell use him on the bench as a supersub if that is all he has the stamina for.
You don’t get to the top of the table without being able to pass and score. You aren’t going to convince me otherwise.
because his club future is much more important at the moment The USMNT can and will most likely still qualify for the World Cup even if they lose the Mexico match..... At club level, this is a crucial year for Pulisic...He need to not only show he can stay healthy for a while but he also needs to perform at a high level before he gets reevaluated this summer by Chelsea..
Most players fatten up while they are away for weeks and weeks and can't run.... but (only) Christian gets super skinny... WTF? There's a million dollar 'how to' book idea in there for the kid.
Never said they couldn't. They do enough offensively to win. But, their offense is not dynamic. That is not what this team is known for.
Their offense is absolutely dynamic and can be very different depending on the players TT puts in the game. I agree they are known as a defensive team, but your initial post insinuated they were a 1-0 win team, which they most certainly are not, nor do they have a problem with passing, which you also stated.
Speak the word, bro. How is Pulisic himself psychologically right now? It may take many, many months of injury free game and training before his mind really lets his body go 100%
Why should Pulisic care more about his club than the hundreds of other players at clubs throughout Europe that will play for their national teams in November? He sprained his ankle. He's better now. Time to play for club and country.
You missed the second part of the rhetorical question? "...than the hundreds of other players at clubs throughout Europe that will play for their national teams in November?"
I mean the Mexico match is probably the most important match of qualifying. Win that one and we are pretty much guaranteed to qualify, as we're extremely likely to take 3 points in all of our other remaining home games (Panama, El Salvador, and Honduras). Lose or tie and we'll have to make up the points on the road somewhere. But also there is zero chance a healthy Pulisic is going to skip that game. Whatever anyone thinks that's just not how he operates. If it were say a run of the mill Nations League group game sure, but not what is potentially the most pivotal game of our qualifying campaign.
I’m a Chelsea fan as well as a US fan but I would understand if he was hesitant to play in the meat grinder CONCACAF qualification. I could understand if Chelsea was hesitant to let him go. I can also see how TT would want him to get ready for EPL play and how he would want to represent his country. Having said all that, Chelsea has a financial interest in his health. I’m sure if they could control it they would have him sit this next window out.
