    Jane Powell - 92 (April 1, 1929 - September 16, 2021)

    Jane Powell, singing star of Hollywood musicals such as A Date With Judy, Royal Wedding and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, died Thursday. She was 92.

    Powell also was a recording star and a popular stage performer, playing in road productions of such musicals as The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady and Carousel.

    Tommy Kirk - 79 (Dec 10, 1941 - Sept 28, 2021)

    With Disney, as a child and young man, he appeared in “Old Yeller,” “The Shaggy Dog,” “Swiss Family Robinson”, “The Absent Minded Professor”, “Son of Flubber”, etc. He was also in a few of the movies MST3K panned.

    The bass is John Kahn and the drummer Bill Vitt of Garcia's band, so the black woman is either Gloria Jones or Jackie La Branch of the JGB-- I recognize her but never knew which was which... I think this is Jones?

    ...and BTW that "other guitarist" is James Burton, of Ricky Nelson/Elvis Presley/Gram Parsons/Emmylou Harris fame. "The Master of the Telecaster"-- the solo on both the edit and the long version of Nelson's take on "Hello Mary Lou" (Gene Pitney wrote it and Johnny Duncan first recorded it, a year before Nelson) were his and the long version among the earliest really extended guitar solos of the rock and roll era. One of the very few Garcia might have called "Sir."

    Is that really Hagar-- he was that skinny then?
