For me if Haaland doesn’t come it will only be for two possible reasons, one he goes after a higher net salary which a team like City can afford, or two he isn’t comfortable sharing a dressing room with the one other young player in the world that is better than him.

It’s one or the other. But if wants to partner with the best and sees that the loss of salary will be recuperated in the long term because of being associated with Real Madrid I think then he ends up here.

Every other aspect of the move and we’re in pole position, attractive future plan of the sporting project, commercial exposure to the widest market reach, allure of making history at the greatest sports club of all time, playing in a top tier competitive league, recent proven track record of winning in CL. We’re second to none.

For me it’s either City (they forget about Kane and offer a crazy salary and chance to lead the best English club in recent times) or United (hire a respected manager, fix the midfield and offer Haaland massive wages), or us.

Don’t think there’s much attraction to United. City is also going after the Fiorentina kid, who has a year and a half in his contract and is running it down. I think the Mbappe factor will be decisive; would he share the limelight with him given they’ll be the two best players in the world for the next few years? His agent doesn’t seem to mind but he has his own interests in mind.

I’ve been a fan of Pogba for a while now but I don’t feel comfortable signing him to our midfield anymore. Especially on super high wages which the Bosman pretty much guarantees. He is wildly inconsistent and Zidane is no longer here to keep him motivated every week. He will have one or two great games and then suck for 3 months. Nah. Even tho I’m a fan of his game and desperately wanted him here some years ago I don’t think it’s a good idea anymore.

For me Pogba is bashed too much and is a better player than people rate him.

With that said if we're limited in wages, I would rather get Halaand and play 4231 with Benzema, Vinicius and Mbappe than 433 with Pogba.

One thing that may work against City is that Pep has publicly said he would like to leave after his contract ends in 2023. Hope that uncertainty with City’s next coach tilts the Haaland deal a bit more our way.

That means you're going with Casemiro and Fede in the double pivot and rotating Kroos in and out for that #10 spot. And this is where Tchouaméni makes a lot of sense, and renewing Modric less so.

    Valverde and Camavinga double pivot.

Benzema as the linking "10". Halaand, Vincius and Mbappe as the front three.

Would only work consistently if Halaand and Mbappe sacrifice and do more press work.

Fair enough, that's how you and i may see things but not necessarily how the people that make the decisions may see it, with Luka definitely slowing down the powers that be may see regenerating the midfield as a more important task, ( i don't think Cama is a replacement for Luka), rather than another attacker considering we have Benz(still) and are likely to get Mbappe and Vini remains, they may also be looking at strengthening the defence, CB? RB? trying to raise the level of the whole team rather than overloading the attack, who knows how they will think, i'm just looking at the possibilities, we'll see

I don't think Florentino, who has turned down Pogba a couple of times already, would place anyone beside Mbappe ahead of Haaland. Haaland, aside from the sporting impact he would have, is a walking cash cow. His personality is massive, his marketing potential is so insane (even bigger than Mbappe's in my humble opinion).

If Pogba comes, Haaland is almost certain as well since Mino will like both players at Madrid.

Pogba on a free is fine, even with the wages. I think he gets unfairly treated. When playing with France he’s better because he’s playing to his strengths. At untied, he looks lost because he’s asked to do things that he’s not good at, every manager from José to Ole has tried to make him a box to box mid, which he’s not.

I’d love to see him with Camavinga and Fede. Pogbas long ball passes are good and he’s a jump over kroos in regard to ball carrying and over all creativity in the top of the box.

Yep. I just think some people don't like the player so they support or latch on to any report or idea which distances him from the club.

There wasn't much attraction when Pogba moved there, and there was absolutely zero attraction when Ibra did. The more desperate certain clubs are, the better will he take advantage in negotiations.

I think he doesn't give a f*** who the stooge on the bench is really. He's already had like 3 coaches at Dortmund.

On the other hand the way Luka just dropped off levels in 2019 and again this year maybe looking down the road and at Benzema and the big picture the powers that be and decision makers might be thinking we won't get another chance at Haaland in the foreseeable future, not for less than 250ME and Benzema could fall right off after next year's World Cup.

His workrate absolutely sucks. He was fabulous at Juve with two players behind him doing the reliability and covering and him being at the head of that team doing what he does best, but it's clear he won't reliably do everything on the field.

Hence why Pogba would work with Valverde and Camavinga.

However, if I had to choose I would rather pick that guy you don't want here lol.

I think Benzema would be perfect in the hole. He has tremendous workrate and already drops deep. We just need Halaand and Mbappe to match Vinicius and Benzema's work and that could be an explosive team

Your posts have consistently been very negative to the idea or anything supporting it.

Years ago you didn't believe Mbappe either. Let's hope you're wrong twice lol

Because his agent brings a ton of negativity to situations. I can't Really point out one single healthy club/player/agent situation with him.

Tchouameni; we need him. He's a younger Pogba.

Mbappe joining Madrid would be great for Him and our club but he is yet to join us it is unnecessary to assume that we would join us for 100%

Benzema will definitely leave if Haaland would ever join Madrid.

Mbappe & Vini are undroppable. Same goes for Casemiro, Fede & Kroos in midfield.

    No he would not

if Benz has shown anything in his career, it’s that he is a team player man
