He’s still nowhere near the national team but he’s also probably the most under the radar prospect we have, especially considering who his dad is. Le Havre could be in the promo mix this season, so if they do get bumped up and he continues to evolve…he’s pretty interesting. 2022 WC almost certainly way too soon for him but thereafter could be a factor if things break right.

Defensively, he looks like an excellent prospect. He wins duels, he covers a lot of ground. He's a physical presence in the midfield. Ball control needs some work. This week I was told he loses possession a lot and is working on that. This matches the numbers in the recent games. He lost possession 13x today and 10x in his previous game (per Sofa Score). That skillset will help with some teams, but he clearly needs to improve on that to get to higher levels.

1444426536749355015 is not a valid tweet id This tweet claims he has been called up to Morocco’s U-23s, which he is eligible for through his mother
For what it's worth, it's possible there will be 2023 CAF U23 cup. If form holds, it would be for '01s and younger.
Ah interesting, he was called-up to the France U20 squad as a replacement but turned it down to stay with the Morocco U23s. Translation from the article written on 10/6: “Amir Richardson, called upon by the French U20 Team, has chosen to join Hicham Dmii’s Atlas Espoirs Cubs this Tuesday in Rabat. Amir Richardson chose the Atlas Cubs. The young midfielder from Le Havre declined a summons from the Bleuets U20 to join Rabat, this Tuesday, October 5, and the preparation course of the Lionceaux Espoirs of Hicham Dmii. The youngster had been called up by Bernard Diomède to replace Bordeaux defender Timothée Pembélé, but he preferred to join Morocco, his mother’s home country. The son of former American basketball player Micheal Ray Richardson could therefore play CAN U23 with the Lion Cubs in 2023 (the location remains to be determined). This is another blow for France which has just lost the Lyonnais Yannis Lagha (17) who also chose to play with the U18s of Algeria to the detriment of the France team.”

It’s too bad we don’t have any teams to call him into right now. Still feel like we will have a real chance at some point.

Just so there's no confusion (I'm not saying you were confused) the team the French have recently be convening under the grouping "U20" seems to be an 01/02 group, not the 03/04s we would consider the current U20s for FIFA purposes.

He needs to graduate to the other forum. Playing in Ligue 2. No different than a couple other guys now in the senior team pool.
