Musah and Adams were just great. And they complimented each other. McKennie is a good player but had a very poor game, far, far too many giveaways. His energy won balls, but then he gave them away.

McKennie was average. Musah and Adams were very good. I thought it was interesting that McKennie was dropping deep to receive the ball while Musah played up more. Seemed like it was by design, especially in the first half. Musah was much better defensively than against Panama and has his usual assortment of dynamic runs and passes. MMA midfield is gonna be a beautiful thing.

Busio was outstanding in his 18 minutes.

I don't think there should be any doubt that the Wham, Bam, Thank You MAM midfield is our best...

    Busio was good too.

I get why people are complaining about McKennie - lots of giveaways tonight but overall I thought he helped the team. Smart interceptions, good in possession getting it forward and a good complement to Adams.

Before Musah ran out of gas I thought he was really inspired. Just wrecking Costa Rica with his turns in traffic.

Busio was really good in his short time I thought and Adams better be fit if we get to the World Cup - he’s so good and so valuable to this team.

Even when he is average, McKennie is one of our better players.

It looks like this match's Rohrsach Test poster boy is gonna be Weston.

I thought Adams and Musah were simply outstanding. 10/10 for Musah from me.

mckennie needs to get back into form.

still not sure why De La Torre didn’t get more time this window.

MMA is just wonderful. I was watching the match with a colleague from CR who complained that it was unfair for the US to be playing what seemed like a 4-4-3!

I think McKennie played good and he is still clearly an important player for us.

I do have one concern though I can't stop thinking about.

This was a game where CR was incredibly overmatched and outplayed, yet McKennie still had plenty of bad to go with good.

Compare this performance to how Musah went from a couple of good plays and a couple of turnovers against Jamaica to a pretty much flawless game tonight.

McKennie really, really needs to tighten his game up because against actually good teams or in more competitive matches we won't be able to brush off all these turnovers and bad decisions.

Doesn’t it make sense that the player who touches the ball the most would have the most turnovers. What other player would?

He was both good & bad. He had a lot of TOs in dangerous spots (for sure). If Acosta did that, people would be freaking. Some are of the opinion he was the culprit on failing to mark that runner on their goal. Byt he was also active & helped the CM trio dominate for long stretches.

I think Adams, Musah, & Reyna may be the trio in two years. Maybe sooner.

Not necessarily. A couple were in really bad spots.

Midfield absolutely dominated, great to see. Musah is a force, Adams is the control, and McKennie is the box-to-box, the only issue was despite him being everywhere he out dribbled himself a number of times and gave away what were great runs by him. He just had a bad game, which still was much better than games by our midfielders in the past.

Wes tried too hard. He should be a little more relax and trusts other players.
