of course not, but theres got to be at least something between good game and out of the team.

has anyone played on the left side with lletget and seen any amount of the ball at all? im not talking about service im talking about touches. pulisic has to bypass him regularly, start his runs 50 yards from goal and get fileted here for trying too much "hero ball".

no one was playing positively (i mean that directionally, not attitude-wise) tonight. zardes wasted every touch he had as well, but why bother going that far down the list to complain about something?

there is a serious grading curve on this team i dont think we should just ho-hum away. gregg cant put a team together than gets the ball in the vicinity of the front 3- how the hell is that on them?

either go all in on possession/endlessly cycling the ball or say we need to freaking attack already. it cant be both.

ill stop bitching about lletget (possibly even gregg, in that one area at least) as soon as the attacking line get the ball in the attacking third more than four or times times per match from the midfield.

Also thought there was a blatant pick on Turner on their goal...no VAR...the great concacaf equalizer...really ridiculous.

    That majorly sucked.

But, I don’t know why, but I’m not letting this loss irritate me. I am disappointed, for sure, but these games help clarify who belongs, and who doesn’t.

Let’s get three points against CR.

That was a miscommunication point on my list. The “...” was meant to imply that the player is endanger of being excluded if they don’t turn it around.

you were the guy that said they should have one team for match a and another for match b and then a 3rd for match c and were all about sending guys ahead just to play in those matches. Now ur mr well wanted to rotate 4 guys lol

It can be harsh... but performances like that is how players get dropped. Remember Daryl Dike? I do. And now he’s got to catch up to be included on the team.

I’m not saying drop Weah now... but if he keeps playing like that... then, he could be on the outs. That said, hope he turns it around. Meanwhile, Matthew Hoppe should be next up.

it really shouldnt be taking this long for the scrubs to be identified.

they've been protected by the coach for long enough.

and if he's not careful, they will be the reason the us misses another world cup.

whatever happens, i see how he works and he is sticking by these mlslosers

Well, it’s the most recent performance, and it’s a performance that mattered significantly.

What makes national team soccer so great to watch is that players cannot afford bad performances. The name of the game is Hero or Zero. One bad performance can doom you. What do you remember about Jeff Agoos? Mike Burns? Those bad performances standout.

We’re already almost halfway through qualifying... we’re very lucky based on the high number of draws of other matches to still be above the line... But Mexico is pulling away from the pack. Canada looks better than we do. And we just allowed Panama to be a contender... Not to mention Costa Rica and Honduras could surpass us if we choke again. We’re beating ourselves with these flat performances.

In other words, there’s no opportunity for grace. The pressure could not be greater. And no one can afford to play as terrible as Tim Weah (and others) played tonight.

I hate that as soon as I saw this line up that I knew it wasn’t going to be good.

That lineup was an absolute joke. We are constantly told CONCACAF on the road is tough, then run out this crap. Absolutely coaching malpractice. Either you MLS/Gregg fanboys need to admit road CONCACAF Is not that tough, or if it is we shouldn’t be rolling out a lineup like that. Pick one and be honest / consistent.

Oh for Jesus ******** sake... Single him out? I did not single Weah out. I singled out about the whole team minus Zimmerman.

The main guys I’ve singled out are McKenzie and Shaq. I’ll give a little bit of grace to Bello because he’s young and we lack the depth (although he was horrible too). And Lletget who was a hot sack of shit tonight too.

But yeah, Tim Weah absolutely sucked tonight too.

It's not like Panama was rolling players that play in Real Madrid, Manchester City etc. They staring line are guys that play in South America on leagues way lower level than MLS, MLS, 5th division in Europe, 2nd Division in Spain etc. This isn't a lot about the players but the way GGG wants them to play and the way he sets up the team for failure.

The game was lost when Berhalter selected a crap squad for a roster and then proceeded to play the worst players on that squad.

Bello and Zardes should have never been selected to the roster much less to start a game. Arriola is useless. Acosta sucks. Shaq Moore and Yedlin are of little value.

Busio is a better attacker, but if he is kept out of the lineup because of his defense, I wonder if it was any worse than what was seen tonight.

Hoppe must have ********ed Berhalter’s wife and daughters, because he cannot get on the squad, yet he can score goals. Berhalter rather select players who can’t score goals.

Lletget and Acosta at the 8s, when we need a goal. Can anyone defend that? Gregg is an absolute moron is the only explanation.

Speaking of Acosta, he gets played a ball to his feet, only for it to pop up over his head, lose possession, and give up scoring chance only to be bailed out by an offside call. That was par for today’s play. Our crosses sucked and theirs were dangerous. The good news today is that Zardes finally scored a goal.

Acosta is either really solid or terrible. He was terrible tonight so of course Grgggggggggg plays him 90. Gregg is in over his head.

My only thoughts are maybe winning on the road is not the priority this window (home games are more important). If you can't play your best players every game (if that is your beef then fine, we can stop arguing and agree to disagree) do you play them in the games you absolutely have to win or the one that you're least likely to win (regardless of who you play)? I wouldn't take the risk they took tonight with tonight's lineup against Jamaica at home because tying/losing to Jamaica at home is much worse than losing here. I think these guys could get it done against Jamaica at home, but if it goes sideways like it did tonight, you're in a way worse position for it and then away at Panama becomes a "must-win". :(
