i mean I just dont think that ggg really feels comfortable reigning in CP....i dont think he sees a need and has him on a pedestal.....probably more of an unspoken thing....i think the all the attack going through CP is probably something both of them think is for the best ...but both are wrong about.

You are wrong for this. It was germane to this thread in so much as both play for the same team. It was more appropriate than all the talk about our shit national team. Which really shouldn't be here at all!!!

I only clarified a generally agreed point with actual specifics, one which is relevant to CP.
So, while I hate to be the bearer of bad news... you're actually the one dragging it out.

    You're welcome!

Chelsea has plenty of money to buy themselves a player of similar profile if CP is deemed too injury prone.

Love CP but if I'm Chelsea, I'd move him this coming transfer window if I can buy another player of similar profile.

I can't see that. To integrate a new player is a definite risk mid-season. Odds for a move- if were to happen- are greater next summer and will be based also on the totality of Pulisic's contribution this entire season.

Tuchel has no choice. Reality is that it's pretty likely Tuchel, Berhalter and Pulisic all discussed this.

IMO Puli is an ideal situation. Supersub, and he contributes when he's not injured. Not a vital guy they're going to rush back on the field, not a useless one they bench for good.

Beyond that, no one is going to pay Chelsea what they paid for him.

Not to mention he's very lucrative from their PR campaign perspective.

I heard from a 7th hand source that Tuchel paid for the threeway Zoom call! And Christian kept saying things like "No Grouper, No Go" and "Bro, he's not good enough for my sister!"

I'd believe that Tuchel paid for a threeway, but not for a Zoom call, which even Chelsea probably do for free.

I feel confident in saying Tuchel in more comfortable in a lab dissecting mice than anything kinky or risque.

There's nothing ideal about once again missing 6-8 game chunks of the season.

That has nothing to do with his club situation. He'd be out for weeks anywhere if he's injured.

How many games has CP played with Lukaku? I may have missed a couple, but I don't remember any. I think they would make a pretty good team. CP is quick and Lukaku is smart enough to. be there.

I agree that Pulisic and Lukaku would work well together.

Pulisic played really well with Giroud, who was also target-type striker like Lukaku, without Lukaku's open field speed. In fact, Chelsea went on quite the run with those 2 playing at end of 2019-2020 season.

Giroud would stay central and not occupy the wingers space on the flanks. If the defense played only 1 guy on Giroud, he was shifty and clever to stick a foot or head in on balls across and pretty clinical as well. Really good at 1/2 chances.

Sometimes defenses would play 2 in Giroud's central area and this allowed for 'feeding time' for Pulisic to beat his defender with space between to shoot and send a really accurate cross. Giroud did not crowd the winger space and bring his defender to muck up Pulisic or Willan.

Werner on the other hand- well, he's great at making runs as a CF but he also would get caught offside or run into Pulisic's space behind the defender, taking away his individual options. He was not near as good at walling off the space centrally with his presence and allowing his wingers to flourish.
He's totally miscast as a back-to-goal CF role. Ditto for Havetz.

I'm surprised they didn't keep Giroud and get him enough minutes to keep Lukaku fresh and Giroud also happy. It's not like Giroud is going to lose any speed in his mid-30s. He is all about guile. Anyone else besides Lukaku or Giroud in that point forward position on Chelsea so drastically changes the whole position & attack, and really has not worked all that well since Tuchel joined.

Already, I see signs of Chelsea not playing with Lukaku the way they need to be successful. Lukaku is like Shaq in the post. Just get him the damn ball at his feet and make the runs into space to the sides of him. He will get you the ball enough times to justify it. If the defenders collapse on Lukaku, then take the ball 1v1 and space on the wings, beat your defender and create chaos for the shifting defense.

But when Chelsea's other players (Werner, Havetz, Mount, Ziyech) starts making runs into Lukaku's general zone....or they move the ball too slowly......they muck up the game plan. Conti used Lukaku brilliantly last year.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

If he's out long enough, even the English Chelsea fans will start missing him.

Seems like he’s out for this sprain longer than his hamstrings. Maybe he can stub his toe and be out for the season.
    Is he made of glass???

wow - patience folks ... patience.

Grade 2 sprains take time to properly heal and rehab.

I just want a win in Panama and one in Cowlumbus .... and then to hear he is back full speed in training ...

bet he is back on the pitch with his teammates in a week.
