Benezet - who never scored in his 23 appearances in burgundy - throwing shade at Lewis for celebrating that goal
It's pretty amazing how quickly Benezet's online persona blossomed into the prototype of the stereotypical "arrogant asshole" Seattle Sounder fanboy. The minute he got to Seattle. Immediately. If you track his social media, you'll know what I mean.
Especially since it was officially credited as a Lewis goal. I think that's generous, but Benezet is both a dick and factually wrong with this post.
Isn't the rule something like "if it would have gone in regardless of defender action its a credited goal, if it wouldn't have gone in except for defender deflection, it's an own goal? Just wondering
Yes, but watching the replay I think its generous to say the ball would have gone in without the defender's touch. It looks to me like its going to go outside the far post. (Though with no defender interaction Mezquida is going to have an easy tap in goal).
A late schedule change, at least the second if not the third one for this match. The Oct 10th Minnesota-Colorado match that had been moved to be on ESPN (the Rapids only English language national TV appearance this year) has been moved again to an hour earlier and will no longer be on ESPN: https://www.coloradorapids.com/news/kickoff-time-adjusted-to-rapids-oct-10-match-at-minnesota-united
In another *shocking* turn of events, Mark Anthony-Kaye gets a call up to Canada as well: 📞🇨🇦 Canada's calling, @MarkThEwizz 🇨🇦📞Congrats on getting the call-up to @CanadaSoccerEN for the next phase of the 2022 @FIFAWorldCup Qualifying!— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) October 1, 2021
Minnesota will be missing some key players too on 10/10 1444122996109578241 is not a valid tweet id Boxall - Center Back - 18 starts Lod - Attacking Midfielder - 16 starts (7goals) Raitala - Left Back - 6 starts Métanire - Right Back - 23 starts
More good news for our game @ Minnesota: big #Rapids96 news just happened in the FC Dallas vs MNUFC match: Loons MF Emanuel Reynoso was just shown a red card in the 89th minute. massive implications considering he’s their midfield maestro #MNUFC— Connor Cape (@MileHighCape) October 3, 2021 As Cape says, he’s really their maestro. He’s a really good #10, and their big DP.
Phillip Mayaka's Kenya side will play two WCQ's this window. They're both on ESPN+, tomorrow at 1pm and Sunday at 7am. Shirt article about the call-up from Goal.com. https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/202...why-harambee-stars/17mbkkcimlc1x1efb3vjcogwpi
Good for him, and the Kenya management team recognizes his improvement and potential. Good thing these players are young. Can't imagine doing a 24-hour odyssey to join up with the team, practice a couple of times, play a match, travel across the African continent, play another match, and then 24+hours back to Colorado. I'd be blind with fatigue for 2 weeks after.
US v Jamaica in ATX, 5:30pm - Thursday Kellyn Acosta is a constant in the @USMNT roster, and throughout his career, has been putting up impressive numbers. 📈 https://t.co/339PKyWc1b— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) October 6, 2021
Kortne Ford with ANOTHER goal. This time it’s in the 94th minute for his 3rd with San Antonio since being loaned out on Aug. 19. How about this diving header? 🔥Kortne Ford finds the equalizer!#ELPvSA | @SanAntonioFC pic.twitter.com/PUdwkUOCU9— USL Championship (@USLChampionship) October 7, 2021
Better angle here. In this angle you can see him call for it as well. The equalizer. #Defend210 pic.twitter.com/E4jigSXHGP— San Antonio FC (@SanAntonioFC) October 7, 2021 Just for clarification as well, his first game in 1,024 days was on August 28th. So in ~ 5.5 weeks he’s scored 3 goals
Hi folks! Rev's supporter here in Denver on business and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good viewing bar for tonight's USA game! Thanks! JS PS: I'm south of the city in the Tech Center if that helps steer it.
The go-to soccer bars in Denver are The Celtic On Market and the British Bulldog. Both are downtown and should be showing the match. It's a bit of a hike from the Tech Center, but I don't know of any soccer-focused bars that are closer to where you are.
Mayaka - On the bench for Kenya but didn't play as they got blown out by Mali Acosta - Gets his 17th straight appearance for the U.S. as the final sub with ~10 min to play as the U.S. beat Jamaica (presumably) Kaye - Starting for Canada against Mexico
pic.twitter.com/nF7TMeNQJj— Burgundy Wave (@Burgundywave) October 8, 2021 I got that one wrong. I didn't think the IRP would take action on the foul. Minnesota's got theirs overturned as well.
