    US10 in Morelia 2 = UK9 (so Diadora Brasil go UK8.5)

In my experience, I went down 1/2 (half-size) down, my Diadora Brasil = UK6.0 (vs Morelia 2 JP in uk6.5)

<my foot length measured 25.3cm; Morelia 2 JP = 25.5cm, perfect fit, with almost no gap between my toe and the tip of the boots at the toe>

Bought my first pair of Mizunos (Morelia Neo II TF) and very excited to try them out. I think I tried a dozen pairs because I have wide, flat feet. I currently wear a pair of 10 year old Nike R10s Legends.

I tried Copas, Puma King classic and new, Diadora, New Balance 442 WIDES and all either hurt or were too narrow. I must be extra wide now (heh).

    Hey guys,

So apparently, the last for Mizuno shoes, has changed within the last year or two? Which is a shorter last for all Mizuno boots, ever since it was introduced? I'm very interested in getting a new pair of the Morelia II, Rebula Cup, or the Rebula 3 (KL). Whether they are Japanese, or from Indonesia, doesn't really matter. I have had great success, with every Mizuno boot purchased. (Obviously, the MIJ is the best, but sometimes there are great deals, on the Indonesian, Mizuno shoes). Aka the "Elite" versions, of the Rebula Cup.

Since my size in Indonesian-made Morelia's, (from 3+ years ago), is: US 11, EUR 44.5, JP 29.0, UK 10

    Should I get: US 10.5, EUR 44, JP 28.5, UK 9.5

For any of the 3 boots above? Both MIJ and Indonesian? Please let me know, pretty confusing.

Oh, I forgot one other Mizuno model, that attracted me. If you can please consider my sizing question, for this boot as well:

    Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721___.jpg Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721____.jpg Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721_____.jpg Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721.jpg Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721_.jpg Mizuno_Monarcida_2_MIJ_P1GA1721__.jpg

It is called the Monarcida 2. Not the Monarcida Neo 2. This boot is wider, chunkier, and more solid, than the Monarcida Neo 2. My kind of boot, it reminds me of the Morelia II, with different stiching patterns. It is also Kangaroo leather, Made In Japan, and can be found for roughly $120 on Ebay. All music to my ears, no doubt.

It is difficult to find a good boot like the Morelia II, without spending $200+. The Nike Premier FG has been discontinued, it is hard to find Diadora Brasil's to try on, etc. Specifically, the model # for this shoe is:
    P1GA1721

Please let me know, if you have experience, or can make a good guess, about the sizing, (and your performance opinion), about this model. It is quite intriguing, thank you.

Alright, so I ordered the Monarcida 2 MIJ, off of Ebay, in my size for older Morelia's, (a 11 US). Will let you guys know about the fit and performance of them. Excited about these, they look like a Morelia II, with a different vamp pattern, and other small differences. K-leather, Mizuno build quality, etc, they look like the business!

Hello! I've this pair and it has been part of my rotation for the past 3 years.

Length-wise, it is similar to the 2015 Mizuno Morelia Japan. The toe box is slightly lower than the Morelia, thus causing the occasional big blue toe. Outsole is similar as well to the Morelia.

Notwithstanding it, the Monarcida represents EXCELLENT value for money. The K-leather forefoot is buttery soft and pliable. Despite using it at least once a week on artificial grass, I've yet to notice any serious form of sole separation. I believe this has to do with the fact that it is from the Made In Japan line, which is the benchmark for quality.

All in all, I have no regrets purchasing this pair of boots. With an excellent built quality, it ranks highly on the value/$ scale for me.

Hello! Thank you for the info! Well, it has been about a month, since I ordered those Monarcida's. Guess what? Interesting story, the blue, Monarcida 2 MIJ's, that I bought, on Ebay, were out of stock, in my size, from the seller, in Japan. Therefore, he asked me if I wanted the Monarcida 1 MIJ, which he had in stock, in my size.

I told him, that it was fine, I will take those instead. This is what they look like, they are an orange color, a bit strong, but cool!

By the way, this Ebay Seller was excellent. It only took 3 days, for the boots to arrive, from Japan to California!! These shoes are circa 2019, I believe, according to a tag, in the interior. The size 11 US, fit me, almost identical, to my Mizuno Morelia MD (Indonesia, circa 2014), in size 11 US.

Hence, the fit is great!! And I haven't even done a training session in them yet. Obviously, they will break down, and fit even better, with training, games, and time. I am very excited about these boots! They will take the place, of my Indonesian Morelia's, when those die. (Which doesn't seem soon, even though I have been playing with them, for 3+ years!!). Mizuno Morelia's are such a superb, durable boot. Yet I am excited about these Monarcida 1 MIJ's!

One thing I noticed, that was different, from the Monarcida 1 versus the Monarcida 2, is the "sandpaper" coating, on the K-leather forefoot, near the front soleplate. Interesting feature, that seems to be designed, for better durability. (My Indonesian Morelia's, have weakened areas, in the K-leather forefoot, in those spots, where they may contact the ground, in abrasive manners, from kicking balls, quick turns, etc). I wonder why the Monarcida 2 doesn't have it? Oh well, who knows, amped up about these boots!

This forum used to me my insider info for all top notch Japanese boots. I have an old pair of Morelia TMs (turf masters no longer exist) that I’d like to replace with a newer version. Or any modern suggestions would be great, I only play indoor on artificial turf these days. Size 10 or 10.5 on leather or maybe 11 in synthetic.

I bought these, roughly 3 years ago. They are still doing great, although I only play on turf, maybe once every two months. Mizuno Morelia Neo KL AS. (The KL stands for "Kangaroo Leather", and the AS stands for "Artificial Surface"). There should be a newer version now, but still a similar shoe.

They are not MIJ, but nevertheless, good build quality, (made in Indonesia). Since they are called "Neo", I was expecting a narrow fit. However, they are wider than the standard, speed-boot Neo. In fact, they are average width. I am surprised how comfortable they are. Not as comfortable as a regular Morelia, but good comfort.

The touch is very good. K-leather on the forefoot, and a nice synthetic, for the body, that gives the boot sound structure. They are better in lateral movements, compared to a full-leather boot, like the Morelia. Although the touch of the Morelia is better. And I prefer the Morelia's excellent shape, anatomical fit, more plushness, heel counter shape, etc. I will stop comparing this boot to the Morelia, since the Morelia is such a difficult boot to exceed. Anyway, the fit is very good, and anatomic for my foot. They are pretty light, (lighter than my 5 year-old Morelia's, but heavier than the Neo speed-boot).

The traction is excellent for turf. Easily the best soleplate design, that I have used for turf. Not too much grip, yet they hold when it is needed. They give the player, very good agility, (depending on his/her abilities). But they don't dig into the ground, where it becomes dangerous. (Yes, I have used blades on turf before, when I was younger and ignorant. That could be a fatal mistake, (ACL tear, breaking an ankle when the shoe gets caught in the turf, etc)). The soleplate reminds me of the regular Morelia, conical studs, on grass. Good grip, yet still agile.

Here is a youtube review, from VujuJosh, on the FG version. (Same shoe though, basically, besides the AG configuration):

I also learned a lot, about boots, from this forum. Nike, Diadora, Mizuno boots. A shame that it seems so dead, lately.

    Hello quiet forum :)

I'm looking at the MIJ Morelia TF ( Q1GB160001 ). I remember there being talk of Morelia sizing changing a few years ago. I always used to be US9/27cm in Morelia, should I stick to that for these?

Also, has anyone used the L-shaped soleplate design on old style astro (ie not AG)

    Thanks !

My kid fell in love with the Morelia UL re-release and unfortunately can't find them anymore. Any recommendations that have a similar feel?

A regular pair of MIJ Morelia 2? Neos? Something else?
