    England's greatest ever striker.

345 league goals in his first 12 seasons (including 9 in half a season with Milan). In six of those, he lead the league.
His lowest total for a full season in that period was 22, when he was 17. 1965/66 he only played 29 games, but still scored 15 times.

To put his record into context, for Harry Kane to equal Greaves' record of 357 top flight goals, he would need to score another 191. Which is the exact number of goals Greaves had scored in his first six seasons.
He was pretty much finished at 29, so from 1963-1969 (aged 23-29), Greaves goalscoring would be comparable to Kane's 2014-21 seasons. Add in almost 200 more goals, and you can see how good he was.

Just watched most of the Juventus v Milan game and I would definitely have Tomori in the next squad. He was solid tonight and his recovery speed is worthy of a place alone. I would have him in the squad ahead of Mings and Coady for starters and the only two ahead of him would be Stones and Maguire at the moment in my opinion plus not sure how long Stones is injured for, so there might be a slot that needs filling anyway.

Southgate keeps mentioning him but never seems to call him up. Frustrating

No clip of it yet but amazing assist by Foden.

Now with a long range goal.

Good hit from distance with a lot of pace but any Top level keeper probably saves it tbf. Nice assist for KDB though, went past a few players before picking out KDB.

Add Mount and James to our penalty taker list?
Rice might be added too if he gets to take one for West Ham.

Hopefully this idea of bringing a player on solely for a penalty is done. Noble is one of the best penalty takers I've ever seen so if he struggles...

It works for the US football ... they bring on a guy from cold to take the kicks ..

Oddly enough an ex England player did that for a while .. Clive Allen !

Have to admit I don’t watch much American football but are they cold? Isn’t this a specific role that they play within there team and are probably warmed up as it’s likely they will be needed for a field goal?

Tammy Abraham has made a good start. Scored again this evening. Worth a call up?

What would people expect to see next Thursday?

Foden back in is a no brainier. Maybe a recall for Chilwell? Time for Greenwood?

Dean Henderson should be recalled with Pickford being out. Shame he hasn’t had many games because Hungary at Wembley would be a good opportunity for him.

    Rashford, DCL are likely out.
Presumably White will come back in if Stones is out.

Tomori and as Rover mentioned Abraham are outside bets. Barnes can’t be far away.

Is a Foden recall a no brainer? He's barely played any club football yet. We've enough good AM options that we don't need to be taking a guy who hasn't shown he's match fit and in form.

Bamford likely out for Leeds, so with the Rashford and Calvert-Lewin situations there's potentially two spots up for grabs.
Two from Greenwood, Watkins and Abraham?

Started the last two PL games, and came off the bench in the match before those.

I would absolutely definitely have Foden back in the squad. Sure he’s been out injured but he looked as fresh as a daisy the other night playing in midfield also and looks in good nick ( granted only against Wycombe ) compared with others that seem to be struggling at the moment. Not sure what’s up with the form of some players but if Gareth is going to pick players on form then some should be slightly worried when the squad gets announced this Thursday.
