James is missing out on the party that Everton are having so far. I keep saying these things as good because it's suppose to be motivation for him but I honestly don't know the full story on his fitness and him not seemingly showing passion when we need him more than ever to step up his fitnenss.

It’s a shame dudes like James and Quintero struggle to keep match fitness. Such talent and you really got to sit and wonder wtf they’re doing on the back end. You literally have all of the money and time in the world. I’d be in the gym every single damn day all day making sure I was fit AF.

I don't think James is unfit. He just can't stay healthy.

I think he does but his ego is too big to admit it. Guy is living a night mare right now and must feel so humiliated.

I honestly believe James is too dumb to feel humiliated.

He's a lot more competitive than you. I am really curious how he looks when he finally gets minutes.

I have to agree that ego is the problem; James has ALWAYS been competitive and trophy hungry; especially with Colombia as he does want to win silverware and you see that whenever he plays.

The problem is how he's handling the circumstances that he's in and not setting himself up better. More positive results, be it with Everton or Colombia, IS gonna harm his pride and I do believe this is what he needs to drive himself again.

Madrid won champions leagues while he was a spectator and he ate it for multiple seasons, not sure at this point its gonna matter his priorities are weird. Almost all of these players are gonna have ego's to get to where they are, just so happens this guy was the darling of a whole country and was uber successful at a young age and now he must feel like he doesn't have anything to prove. To some degree he's correct, he proved the level of player he is and did it at high levels, but he hasn't done it that long and sustained it into his peak years. I wonder how it would have went if he decided to stay at Bayern under Flick, I imagine he would have had a lot of fun but he's dumb and now he's really got something to prove if he wanted to look at it that way.

Damn low blow to Ms.Rodriguez lol but yes James needs to be humbled. Thought that would’ve happened once he left Bayern. Just needs to keep his head down train and play football. It’s not hard. People nowadays are so stuck on social media and don’t understand that anything you say is used against you.

Managers also hate that shit and him talking shit on his live streams obviously doesn’t help. He’s in the position he is now for talking all that shit when Benitez was in Madrid.

If he's training normally with the team then what's the issue? Even match fitness-wise it shouldn't take long unless he does have an injury.

I am more confused about James now than ever.

The double standard is very weird. Some players play for NT all the time despite part time status at the club level. Some players are visibly out of shape and struggle to play 45 minutes yet get called up for CA/WCQ games.

I was at a bar last night in NJ talking to a random futbol fan and he was not Colombian but was basically giving me his observations of James and Colombia which made me think I was possibly talking to CRZD LOL

It’s just sad to see someone like James become almost a villain bc his potential hit its peak 7 years ago :(

Yeah. This is why you lose the forest for the trees when you X him out.

I am glad to see stories in press that Rueda and James are talking. Rueda must realize that James may not be or own a rifle, but he scores that goal in La Paz 11/10 times.

Rueda needs to get the best out of James to do well, we just don't have enough talent to be tossing him aside unless its for very good reason. Ok he laid down the law, but then he turned around and broke it multiple times and clearly the performances haven't been great and our best performance was playing with Quintero who's hit or miss for fitness. Hopefully James gets the message and his attitude changes, I think he at times couldn't care less about not playing at club but for us I do think its different and he wants to play. If he messes around for Everton its not gonna be a big deal to him, but if his image and legacy gets trashed in Colombia that's where his bread is buttered and how he became a big star. His ego may have got the best of him and he may have acted stupidly for us recently, but I'm not gonna say that this guy hasn't shown up and played to the best of his ability and given everything 95% of the time he's played for Colombia.

Can’t wait till he gets us 9/9 in October then everyone will preach his gospel

seriously enough of the bullshit. Falcaos minutes in the last 3 games and we’d have 4 extra points

I don't expect James to play until 2022.
Either because Benitez will troll him all year or because he will get a nagging injury he always seems to get.

Doubt he makes the squad for tomorrow's game, but if he cant even make the squad for their EFL cup game on Tuesday then yeah, he isnt playing much if at all for them again.

If James plays that game and tears it up which you'd suspect is a high likelyhood he can force Benitez to at least use him off the bench. Everton are running well right now but the margins are thin, a couple wonder goals don't go in and the mood changes and all of a sudden Benitez can't just keep that kind of talent on the bench, this isn't Madrid with a loaded squad we're talking about here. I feel like its the same situation for both Rueda and Rafa, if things go well you look great but as soon as they aren't you risk your own ass.

Let's see if he actually gets called up. We have seen people on the "bloqueado" list who are not on the roster.

If he does get called he better play well.
