Messi must be crying at home. I mean he loves Barca so much right?

At this point it’s like saying if Sociedad beats us to the league that would be embarrassing. Nothing to suggest from what we have seen, Barca will be anywhere near the title. One more injury to that front line; then what? I even kinda having a hard time enjoying this as 1.- teams who are pressed for the title usually play better in more difficult competitions (CL) 2.- It makes la liga look bad. With so much money is PSG and England, we don’t want to become a one team league. If we really were to add Mbappe and haaland next season as well as some defensive reinforcements, we are going to destroy la liga. Even without haaland.

In all fairness we're one Benzema injury away from being in trouble.

Watched the extended highlights from the Barca match and they look shockingly bad. The defending was shambolic, and probably should have given up 3 more.

They look absolutely toothless up front. The whistles are going to get louder and louder this season. I thought we looked bad in the first post Ronaldo season, but the wheels could really come off for them.

I want them to go down to Europa. But if Barcelona goes down to Europa, it is bad for La Liga. My head tells me that, but my heart usually wins me over.

PS: Why did Barcelona have a bye weekend?

Now, they will rest for 6 days(?), and then, a game on the following Thursday and Sunday.

Yes, but judging from what we’ve seen so far not nearly to the same extent as last year.

Man Utd trying to "qualify" into the Europa league, their best chance for silverware under Ole.

The English media was drooling all over themselves after the Newcastle match saying Pogba was going to renew because of the recruiting of Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo. Crazy how they have devolved into such a small minded club since SAF left.

Dude, the PKs given up by Sevilla today were so damn comical. Wow. Salzburg shit the bed on two of them though.

Sevilla and Valencia have better chances of winning La Liga than they do.

    Some thoughts:

Barca are not even really comically bad. They are simply bland, boring to watch and kind of sad. I think @hector_br said that La Masia are not even delivering talent over the years like that and he's probably right, even back when they put together the golden generation, a lot of guys were saying that this isn't sustainable and not too long ago the club touted Ivan de la Pena as a homegrown "talent".

That said, Barca have been rock bottom before so this isn't some kind of fall from grace. It's merely a reset point of a very long cycle.

Also, I don't quite see how Manchester United fit as a Håland team considering that whatever they seem to be doing with Ronaldo, is the exact same role Håland has at Dortmund. They are running the exact same routes. It's quite baffling to me, but unless one of the two players drastically changes the way they play, I struggle to see how they fit in the same team.

I think La Liga teams will still shit the bed against them for some reason.

Madrid, Atleti, Sevilla all must wipe the floor with this Barça team tho.

He’s played with 3 of his last managers and he’s still going, breaking records. What a legend.

On the contrary I hope Vini proves Tebas right and becomes one of the best.
He should know by now not to let the praise get into his head and to work hard to become better and better.

I’m just happy the kid is improving. I don’t expect him to be a superstar overnight. All I can say he’s way better than when we first got him and that’s got to count for something. If we sold him now we’d recoup what we paid for him and than some.

Local media will starrt making it very hard to root for Musiala. "They new Neymar!" "The new Mbappe!"

My word. He's great news or Bayern and the national team but i'm fully expecting Hoeneß to lose his mind about this any day now.

That Pedri injury was destined to happen. The kid has played way too much in a short space of time without having any real off season to rest and recover. This may be a recurring thing for him this season.
