OK - I'll post it here: Tylor Golden - Salford City. Say he was born in Myrtle Beach. Other than that, what do we know?
He was news to me! It looks pretty likely that both he and his older brother Deven, who is or was also playing in England, are American though I've seen it reported differently in different places. They were in the U.S. before England. https://www.coastfa.com/about-us-1/news/golden-brothers-chasing-pro-contracts Tylor drew a PK for Salford in a preseason match last month. https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2021/07/salford-city-vs-derby-county-match-report-24th-july-2021 He spent some time on loan at Notts County last season. (It's a long interview and I haven't listened to the entire thing so perhaps he says "YES IN FACT I WAS BORN IN THE US" at some point...) Deven seems to be or have been somewhat further down the pyramid.
T'Markt says Jones is now at Sierre, also in Switzerland. https://www.transfermarkt.de/nicolas-jones/profil/spieler/460250
T'Markt says a '98 named Jean-Yves Poame, who has some Irish YNT experience and was most recently at Athlone but is currently MIA, is American, though he was apparently not born in the U.S. He spent some time at Sunderland earlier in his career.
This turned out to be correct. He's Tomas Totland's brother. However, I'm not sure Mattias is currently playing anywhere, or at least anywhere I could easily find. His last stop appears to have been lower-division Norwegian club Fana.
Time to turn on the @naopon-signal. T'Markt says there's an American '04 with Yokohama FC's U18s named Sean van Yaden. https://www.transfermarkt.de/sean-van-yaden/profil/spieler/910036 The club site has a player -- the auto-translate of the page, however, says "van Yarden." https://www.yokohamafc.com/academy/youth/ That's about all I have for now...
I can't find another source for his romanized name but it seems safe to say that his first name is "Shawn" and he's Japanese-Canadian, as indicated by his IG account. Not sure if "van Yaden" is the correct spelling for his surname.
Ethan Mitchell of Plymouth Argyle, whose club calls him American (as does T'Markt) is, unfortunately, not American. It's possible that some kind of confusion arose because there's a young American player with the same name, but that's just a guess.
'01 Isak Thorvaldsson, Iceland youth international, has the Iceland flag and American flag in his Instagram bio. He is on loan with IA Akranes in the Icelandic top flight from Norwich U23s. I'm not sure what his connection is to the US. https://www.transfermarkt.us/isak-snaer-thorvaldsson/profil/spieler/490970
Take a bow, @jlsm, and start a thread! I can confirm that Thorvaldsson has an American father. Based on some database sites, he appears to be provisionally cap-tied to Iceland, for the record.
T'Markt says a Netherlands-born '02 named Stan Beune at a lower-division club is Dutch-American. https://www.transfermarkt.de/stan-beune/profil/spieler/925038 https://www.ijsselmeervogels.nl/het...-tweede-divisie-2021-22/1/1001659-stan-beune/
This site says an '03 GK named Nicolas Rodriguez is now at Colombian lower-division club Tigres and American-born. I haven't quickly tracked down much more, but it does appear that a player of that name and position is at the club or was recently. https://us.soccerway.com/players/nicolas-santiago-rodriguez-mejia/772030/
This really doesn't belong here, but I feel like this story fits ... it's about the @Dave Marino-Nachison , @BostonRed of El Salvador: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/01/sports/soccer/usmnt-el-salvador-world-cup.html?smid=tw-share
This (Finnish) story from last year confirms that he's American -- but, unfortunately for the purposes of this forum, we're too late, as he's apparently out of competitive soccer and into the sustainable soap business. https://www.helsinginuutiset.fi/paikalliset/3185396
A few sites say there's an American named Sidi Camara at lower-division German club Deutz; some say he came from Downtown United, a youth club in NYC, and there's a player of that name who seems to be of the right age who played at MLK high school, also in the city. I haven't been able to pin down enough stuff to start a thread yet.
T'Markt says an '05 named Samuel Dantzler with the U17s of SSV Reutlingen is German-American. https://www.transfermarkt.de/samuel-dantzler/profil/spieler/921429
Osaze De Rosario is listed as a citizen by Transfermarkt; he now plays in the Ukrainian 1st division but I can't find confirmation of citizenship. It's likely that he has it as his dad was playing for the Earthquakes at the time of his birth, just no confirmation that I can find.
Huh, that's interesting. You're right, not easy to confirm. But the club did report his signing (and a three-year deal) on its site. He's an '01. https://fcrukh.com/posts/ruh-pidpisav-chotiroh-novachkiv Apparently he was also looking into opportunities in Spain earlier this year. I believe this was the first time I've come across the ".gal" URL suffix while looking up Yanks Abroad... https://lugoslavia.gal/2021/08/osaze-de-rosario-cd-lugo/
This Twitter feed says Benicio Pena, a 2003 GK at Boldklubben AF 1893 in Denmark, has a US citizen father: 👤 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻̃𝗮 (𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟯):Es un arquero que juega en Boldklubben AF U19. T'Markt says an '03 GK named Dominik Haldemann with Swiss club Red Star's second team was born in Florida. https://www.transfermarkt.de/dominic-haldemann/profil/spieler/708378 This link seems to confirm his presence there. https://www.fvrz.ch/fussballverband...vrz.aspx/v-613858/t-48550/sg-/ls-/tg-3596454/
Not really YA at this point, but I came across this first-person account by Delbridge who mentions that he played HS soccer with Bjorn Johnsen. Gotta figure that was a pretty good high school team! https://www.athletesvoice.com.au/harrison-delbridge-he-said-i-was-going-to-hell/
T'Markt says an '04 GK at Swiss club Genolier is American. https://www.transfermarkt.de/tyler-cake/profil/spieler/939840 He does seem to be there, on the top youth squad: https://www.fcgenolier-begnins.ch/liste-des-joueurs?&eq=A Pretty sure it's not this Tyler Cake. https://tiutrojans.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/coaches/tyler-cake/738
