    Alvarez with another fine performance in the 4-0 today. He had a couple of headers in the box but did not find the target. Controlled the center of the MF well.

    Short match for Alavarez today.:( Picked up a YC for a late tackle and two or so minutes later is sent off for a hand ball in the box just before the first half ended.

    EtH has given Alvarez an early holiday as with LB Tagliafico. He is of course suspended for Thursday's match against VVV and there is only a Sunday match against Vitesse left on the schedule. He has left for Mexico to get ready for some of the NT matches coming up. I salute him for his perseverance this year and turning into a solid holding MF for the league champions and cup winner.

    In hindsight the Alvarez camp is happy ten Hag, Overmars and van der Sar blocked the Valencia transfer.

    Despite missing almost all the preseason training, Alvarez didn't miss a beat yesterday. Ajax said today that he is staying with the team this season and not moving to the French League with Rennes.

    This was his best match in an Ajax shirt!!! I graded him highest of all players at 7.5 and he was my MOTM. His passing was assured and he almost took down the crossbar with a rocket shot that bounced back to Gravenberch who put it in. He didn't give up on a corner kick and got a headed in goal that stood because it came off a Vitesse player negating off sides. Well done!!!!!!
