So, to you it is worth winning a CL and BL trophy over the next few seasons and then becoming the next Schalke/Hamburg...or even worse a 1860 Munich or Kaiserslautern!? Come on now..

It seems Juve could actually be interested in Witsel. I think selling him would be a good move at this point, especially as he is one of the higher earners in the squad.

Delaney was at 5M per year and Witsel is a little over 6M so those salary savings could be combined to get an impact winger or RB.

What I meant is that I wish our current administration had that same hunger for trophies instead of simply being content with turning a profit.

No it would just be another poor signing. We don't need a midfielder like that. We can play Can or we could have even played Delaney. What we needed is a deep lying 6 to get the ball from the defence and dictate player. Dahoud has been given that role, I am not convinced that's the best role for him, but we will see how it goes.

A creative winger is a huge priority. Now PSV are out of the CL maybe we should probably go back in for Madueke.

I think McKennie is a lot better than you are giving him credit for. But I agree we need some creativity on the wings as well. McKennie is an easy upgrade over Can and its not close in my mind.

Id like to see us upgrade his position, RB and Wing. I understand that we cant be greedy and just upgrade them all.

Rumours in England we are trying to sign Dalot from United on loan with an option to buy. He is an attacking right back. Haven't seen much of him at Milan though. Mourinho and Ole both didn't rate him.

I havent seen McKennie at Juventus, obviously saw him at Schalke. I don't think he ever showed the potential to be better than Can. Emre is a very good player with good experience and a fighter. I would only upgrade on Emre with someone clearly better on the ball. Mckennie is worse on the ball than Can.

However, I agree we should be focusing on the RB and winger.

Hudson-Odoi is available on loan. It seems like we can save our season. If we can get a decent right back and Hudson-Odoi on loan, then we fix our problems even if it's only short term and have a shot at the everything. Get these two loan deals done.

Doesnt matter as the bidding war is now driving up the price. Tottenham has allegedly driven up the price to 40 plus.

What we should have done is get Bissouma. Sell Bellingham to the Premier League for 50 million and should have brought in Bissouma. It seems I was correct and his asking price is £40 million, but that dream is dead.

United fans think Dalot is rubbish, but we need a RB.

Chelsea are no mugs though. They will make us pay a loan fee and the option to buy will probably be around £40 million, but I think its definitely worth it. He has been poor for a while, but he has potential and does solve our problems. He is exactly the sort of player we need.

This window could have been so different.

    Kobel
    Bissouma
    Wirtz/Raphina
    Dumfries

All for about 100 million, whilst we make about 130 million selling

    Balerdi
    Delaney
    Sancho
    Bellingham
    Burki

Watching the match and it confirms what we all know.

Still need a RB, Winger and CDM.

Without them we are short and won't have a successful season.

Apparently the Dalot deal is off and he is staying at United according to Romano.

There must be other targets and one needs to be done by Monday, a RB is key even though at least Meunier is back he is not at full fitness and with Can out there is very little defensive cover.

Maybe it’s worth pushing the boat out and offering €25m for Baku? That money can be made up for in sales in January or next summer but the difference it would make to the team right now could be huge.

Leverkusen have started well and look very balanced. Leipzig are good.

We don't have the squad to compete with Bayern and we aren't much better than Leipzig.

I think it's vital we try and get a winger and beggars can't be choosers. Hudson-Odoi if he wants to leave for minutes is a must and he has some experience playing the right wing back.

Great news. I have been banging on about Hudson-Odoi and it seems we are actually trying to sign him. That would be a great signing.

    Is he any good?

It's hard for me to get excited considering we haven't addressed the issues that have been plaguing us for the past seven years regarding our defensive setup.

The defense mostly isn't a personnel issue aside from right back. The center backs are good at full strength and left back is well covered. If Hudson-Odoi can be had on loan it's a good deal.

He has potential. He is fast and use both feet, but he doesn't attack the full backs often enough. He has has opportunities, but played poorly most weeks

One could hope that Witsel will be taken away by.... somebody.

Not too keen on Hudson-Odoi - pretty poor every time I've seen him, plus he will be on loan, is an English player and will want to move back to England at some point even if we make it a permanent deal. Exactly the signing we should be avoiding. If we are looking at somebody from Chelsea, I hope it is Ziyech and on a permanent transfer. But our lethargy and lack of any direction this summer has reduced us to.... panic attempt for loan deals at the end of the window.

I agree. Hudson-Odoi has been disappointing when he has played, but he has the potential to be great.

I also agree with everything you said about buying English. I don't agree with Ziyech though, that's not the sort of player we need. We need a dribbler.

However, we are desperate. We had a terrible transfer window and despite plenty of time did not actually replace LP and Sancho. So now we have realised we are desperate and Hudson-Odoi is by far the best option we could ever have hoped for.

No idea how reliable the Hudson-Odoi rumors are. It would make sense for all parties involved I guess.
There are rumors we are also looking to strengthen the dense, so probably the RB.

Apparently it is up to Tuchel now whether he decides to let him leave.
