Here is my current list of coaching changes since last season. South Carolina State still is open.

A week from preseason. Can't imagine SC State will be anyone other than the current assistant.

Looks like Alabama A&M is open. No coach listed on the website.

The staff directory lists Emanuel Stephens as still the head coach. Whether they ever have shown him on their roster page, I do not know.

He is the new assistant coach at University of Washington. It must be tough for players at Pacific for the HC to leave few days before the season kicks off.

Why do they often say the coach is leaving for family reasons? It’s not like we won’t all find out that they left for a new/better job.

And how does Co-Head Coaches work. Doesn't someone have to take the lead?

I have seen these two roles in a different sport. Basically co-head coach is the same as associate head. The head coach is still in charge of the program. But I agree it could seem confusing.

There have been a number of these situations, most often husband and wife pairs. Currently, Tari St John and Rob Alman are married co-head coaches at Butler. I have no idea how it would work for co-head coaches that are not married.

One takes a vacation while the other is coaching the team. Then they rotate.

Pat Ferguson is no longer listed as Wright State Head Coach.

WOW! A bit late timing or what? I've known Pat for a long time, and he's done a great job at Wright. Wonder what happened

It’s all just linguistics. Co-Head coaches are normally a married couple and have to be named as equals due to university charters or rules. One coach will have an AD or similar senior level administrator as a boss and the other will report to the SWA. Off field duties are dictated by the administration and they can’t give one another their employment reviews. On field duties and responsibilities are worked out between the two coaches.

U of Arizona experienced staff is off to a Hot start, a 2-0 loss to WAC mid Major Utah Valley for first time ever loss there. They got dominated though is the worst part, outshot 16-1. So not really even a game with opportunities, one shot all game long, zero saves by the UVU goalie as no shots on goal. Might be a long season. Note to self, don't hire because of candidates looks or biological make up, but hire your coaches based on proven experience. I think that method will go a bit better.

Note to you, how about we don't judge a coach on a single game. By your rush to judgement she would have deserved a raise after beating San Diego State in the first game she coached. You have no idea if they had injuries, are implementing a new style, etc. Give her a chance. Duke's basketball coach had a poor first three years before he started to excel.

The rest of your comment aside, this part is incredibly ignorant and just reeks of jealousy. Pull your socks up....you'll get another chance soon.

The ignorant part is that you assume I would want that job. I got out of college coaching on top, you probably applied and missed out if you are offended, I'm happily retired but enjoy following the humor in these posts from former colleagues. What did I offend your friend ytrs and you by being honest? Arizona a Pac 12 team that very recently made the NCAA tourney and was a top 50 program just got outshot 16-1 in a game to a mid major, I watched the game online, it wasn't a game, it was a domination. If Ytrs and you can't call a spade a spade, then that's your problem. I pointed out the facts, they hired a very very inexperienced college coach, as many commented on in this very thread earlier. They've played one game, and are 0-1. The test will be can they have a winning season, will they make the NCAA tourney and finish top 100 which precedence Tony set there under his tenure. Or did they make a terrible hire. Results from their first game, (Exhibition games where you play all your freshmen don't count Ytrs, you should know that you patsy), so they have a terrible result so far.
September 9th game vs Texas Tech, first real opponent that should challenge them, let me know how that game go's. Then talk to me after. My so called ignorance may turn into educated for my statement. I have a feeling you may eat your own words and can then hang that title of ignorance over your future comments. Good day.

There seems to be a lot of acceptance of poor performance for coaches at what should be top schools and a "let's give them time" or "they are working on turning it around" attitude (like Maryland, Oklahoma, Michigan St.) There certainly isn't that accommodation given to players, either you perform or you are quickly on the bench. Not sure why coaches should not be held accountable for their performance as players are. If a coach is truly bad, how long should you wait to confirm that?

Those coaches have inherited the previous coaches players. They should be judged after they have had at least 3 years to bring in their own players. It doesn’t matter how good a coach is if they don’t have the players.

Arizona's best player (by miles) also transferred to USC when Tony left. New coach had no chance to replace her.

Footyballs you ignore her SDSU win, and you ignore the Duke basketball analogy. You sounds jealous.

You mad, bro? That ranting post sure sounds personal...and nice attempt as the gaslighting. Right out of the Trump playbook.

And why the hate against UVU? They're a solid program....yes, a "mid-major". However I think another "mid-major" team had a pretty decent accomplishment in the spring...if my memory serves me right.

Oh, also, and this part IS personal to me. I'm glad you and your misogynistic opinions are retired and out of the game. We're better off without your garbage.

I would still say that under Amato Arizona would not have lost this game.

Well he is still working on getting his first win at Florida, but he seems to be getting a pass. Curious, eh?
