Pretty good apart from the first 15mins in the second half. Abraham and Eldor are a revelation. It'll take some time getting used to strikers that actually work their asses off.

Good game. Not super exciting performance, but an overally stable one.

Having a decent coach in this team again feels good.

We deserved to win in the end. But it was hairy stuff for long stretches. Too long.

Love the movement our front four have, you can tell Mourinho has been working a lot on that.

Also on a smaller note, great having a keeper that can actually catch the ball. The amount of times Pau Lopez would punch away shots would drive me crazy.

It wasn't meant to be an easy game to the start the season.

Thankfully we managed to score twice right after Zaniolo got sent off. I hope some corrective action to be taken against him, that foolish mistake would have cost us the game.

2nd yellow was a smidge harsh. Ref was a tad card silly.

“It’s not easy to leave someone on the bench, but Shomurodov can play on the left, he can be a forward with Tammy as well. At this moment, neither of them are in the same condition as the players who worked in pre-season training from the first day, so I figured to use Pellegrini behind.”

“Shomu is very dangerous attacking the space, Tammy is more of a reference point, so even if he wasn’t tired at that stage, I would’ve made the substitution a few minutes later anyway.”

What a difference Abraham makes. He's going to have a monster season.

Finally, some team with fight. Not falling to pieces like a bunch of losers, we would normally do.

Imagine if we would have had Olsen or Lopez in goal, we would have lost. Shows how we really were run by imbeciles the last few years.

Chaotic game, but we were a lot better. Should have ended this with 2 goals after their red card.

Tammy looks like a gem, physically looks amazing, so tall but so agile, technical and works his ass of. The same could be said for Shomu, some grinta he has.

Mikhi again great, he seems like our starboy again this year settling the path for our boys Tammy, Zabiolo and Shomu.

Something is lacking in the midfield. Cristante was solid, but he lacks some other aspects of the game. We need a better DM, hope this Zakaria guy comes in. Veretout is a good box to box player. Mourinho loves this kind of a player. We tend to forget that number 10 position is also midfield, and Pelle doesn’t seem like a Mourinho number 10 type of a player, don’t know how long will he put up with his poor display which he will have a lot this season.

Rui is a beast. Finally a goalkeeper with a pair.

Zaniolo is wasted out wide. Put him in the middle and let him and Tammy/Eldor thrive.

Correct. Him and Tammy would be an absolute battering ram up the middle against the rest of this shite league.

See, this is what having proper strikers look like.

For a goal Dzeko scored, he missed like 3 sitters within the same match. Great player, but so frustrating to watch and sometimes lack the drive

your strikers did not even score goals. guy hit the ball with all power got lucky guy on other post put his foot. your strikers played a team that was open lets see when cage teams come lol when no space to run but like genova you got to do 1-2 and make smart runs

Anyone having a pic where Mkhi's goal does NOT look offside? Don't know why they didn't show a frame where the VAR lines were drawn on TV.

    edit: nvm, found one:

Very mature and well-thought out post.

You don't sound like a Bosnian Dzeko + Inter fanboy at all.

    A social chameleon.

3 assists. Pipe down Dzeko fan boy. You played Genoa who are relegation bound.

It it so obvious its infuriating to watch. Against the Turks the other day even more so. Zaniolo on numerous times cuts inside to drive infield. Pellegrini is standing there in his way and he ignores him and runs around him.

This ability to drive at 3 or 4 players from the centre is special. It creates chances out of nothing in seconds. It sets him apart and into the elite category. I was skeptical about his knee but so far it's just more of the same.

Pellegrini might still find his best position is in the 2 mids if Jose can make him work. Then you have a decent balance of technical skill alongside Veretout\ Cristante while removing his constant breakdown of play in the 10 role.

Build your team around the special players and the other pieces fall in place.

It didn't look offside live and waiting 5 mins for a decision is a joke. VAR might have went for roma yesterday but it kills the spontaneous joy of scoring a goal.

The forum has a new pet but not one we wanted. Much like a stray dog who just turned up one day and hung around.

I have trust in JM. Best couch we had other than Capello in the past 20 years. Luis Enrique could have been special but he was raw and be had no money. Owners seem to care about the club and actually spending money on the right players. And they are present at every single match.

This season all teams are shit on paper, except Juve. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up top 2
