Well, let's launch this blessed vessel
    [IMG][IMG]

Last season's champions of England, Chelsea, become only the second WPL/WSL team to reach a European final. It'll also be a tough title defence in 2021/22 in Scotland (Glasgow City) and Wales (Swansea City), while season 2021 is already part-way complete for Ireland (Peamount United) and Northern Ireland (Glentoran).

Shipping off to Japan are the Great Britain women's Olympic squad, after an agreement to re-form it like in 2012. It's a team that has never played together before (except for every week at Man City), so how will they do?

They are not in crisis at all. Once the manager is coming in, the new signings will come in as well. And besides Heath and Press, the only players they lost (Sigsworth, Ross and A Turner) are average journeywomen. Losing James would be a blow for sure.

Just read Rangers destroy Glasgow 8-0. Not sure if thats normal. I think Glasgow used to be good. Usually it be Glasgow, Celtic and Rangers in the top. I just checked, Glasgow always been number one in their league.

    Not a great video.
One player is an anti-waxer, one has been hacked in the iphone scandal, one has has a serious problem and had a stroke while being operated in the brain. There are many stories among those girls, I know a few of them, they are nice people too.

My mistake. I didn't read it correctly. Just thought it was Glasgow City and at Queen's Park. :whistling:

Rangers Women dished out a hammering to a fellow Glasgow club in the SWPL Cup on Sunday afternoon, triumphing 8-0 over Queen’s Park.

For records, Saori Takarada, of Japan, just played 90 minutes for Washington Spirit in NWSL on Saturday. Of course, Japan was eliminated early and Takarada only started one game at the Olympics, but it seems to me that it's anyway a decent comparison point.

I'd imagine Kerr and Eriksson won't play. Andersson played notably fewer minutes than Kerr and Eriksson at the Olympics, but I'm guessing she likely won't play either. I think Mušović and Charles should be available for some minutes, and I wouldn't be surprised either way whether Ingle or Bright play some minutes or not. If this wasn't Nouwen's first season at Chelsea, I'd guess she likely wouldn't play on Thursday, but since she is a newcomer, maybe she'll want to get into the squad as soon as possible.

How much did she play elsewhere before the NWSL Challenge Cup/regular season? The NWSL regular season was in full flow right before the Olympics; European based players were in the middle of vacation following a full season before starting training for the Olympics. It wouldn't shock me if every Chelsea player at the Olympics took part vs Rangers, but Kerr, Eriksson, Andersson, Ingle, Bright, and Nouwen not featuring until the next preseason match would hardly be surprising either in my opinion.

In Japan, the regular season is usually in the middle of the year, as in USA, and not between two years, as normally in Europe. 2020 season was delayed because of covid, but anyway she didn't played in Japan since December 2020, when her club was eliminated from Empress' Cup.

NWSL Challenge Cup, though, started in the first week of April 2021 and Takarada reportedly joined Washington Spirit for their preseason camp in February. So i'd say she had some continuity and she should have been in full form pre-Olympics (in fact I would have liked to see her played a little more at the Olympic tournament! :x3:).

She played well as defender and nearly scored from the shot nearly in late second half.

No, she's leaving in 7 weeks. She's been with the FA, according to this piece, since 2019.
