0-4 equalled the worst defeats of Ajax in the Arena.

Two times PSV, once Real Madrid and once Vitesse.

That's funny because this site (updated July 10) still shows the Eredivisie in the list of leagues to be covered.

    https://worldsoccertalk.com/watch-soccer-via-espn-plus/

And yet, there are no Eredivisie matches on the ESPN+ schedule for the opening weekend. They are currently showing 3 or 4 Belgian Jupiler League matches each weekend. The Belgian league isn't on that list.

And now I see that the ESPN+ deal was only for three seasons, ending with 2020-2021. Wow. Major bummer.

ESPN+ is too soccer heavy now as they added the Spanish league. Dutch league are minnows. I guess we are left with finding streams to watch as I don't think the league has enough followers to warrant one of the other networks picking it up.

You are likely right about that. The Eredivisie doesn't get the press like Messi or Ronaldo got. Years ago the big shots running the NBA were told to highlight individual players, not teams, to increase popularity. Thus, we had matchups like Magic Johnson versus Larry Bird, not the Lakers versus the Celtics. And unfortunately Messi and Ronaldo don't play in the Netherlands.

(I find it ironic that ESPN+ signed on with La Liga before Messi decided to leave Barcelona for France. Futbol justice, I suppose.)

I did find that the Eredivisie will be on ESPN2 Norte, which is shown in Central America and Mexico, in Spanish. So, yeah, we in the USA and Canada are shut out.

Oh well, going to follow my three Spanish clubs which I haven't been able to do for quite a few years. And no, they are not Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Verizon dropped them from the cable plan several years ago. Last season they only had the cup matches.

Makes sense with the Mexican players who have played in the Eredivisie over the years. Too bad there are not a lot of Americans there.

I dont understand why you guys just dont get IPTV.
Its no more illegal than watching internet streams.
Its not like you're gonna go to jail over it

    So how does it work?

If I use IPTV to watch Dutch television, for example, wouldn't I need an ESPN-Netherlands account to watch it? In which country is the Eredivisie shown on free TV?

I don't think there is a country where Eredivisie matches are free

No, you dont need all that.

    Requirements to watch IPTV:

    1. Internet service with minimum 50 to 100 mgb down speed.
    2. Android box. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=dreamlink+t3&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
    3. IPTV provider

You can find IPTV providers starting at $15/month on internet, Reddit, twitter, kijiji or craigslist.

Its best to get multiple providers because sometimes channels dont work, or buffer too much. If for example BEIN sports doesnt work on one provider, its almost guaranteed to work on the other 2.

So I pay $45/month for 3 different providers and I get something like 5,000 channels from around the world.

    Example: https://iptvvideos.com/black-diamond-channel-list/

While interesting, how does IPTV deliver content from sites that require a subscription? I have a PC hooked up to my TV and can get lots of content but a lot of the sites we watch require a monthly subscription that provides a login and password.

EDIT: There is no US IPTV provider that carries Eredivisie matches.

You dont need a US IPTV provider, some of the best ones are located in the UK, Holland and Canada and they all carry Eredivisie matches

I'm still researching this. From what I can see, VLC Media Player which I use for streaming also works with IPTV feeds. I should not need any new hardware if I go down this route. I'll need to test this out with an IPTV provider. Perhaps this becomes a solution.

That might work well on a PC or laptop. Then if you wanna watch on a TV just hook up your computer to your TV HDMI outlet and watch it that way

I have a dedicated PC hooked up to my TV and it is configured also as a DVR with a 1 TB hard drive for storing content. I not only have easy TV access but also streaming through the Internet as well which is why IPTV may be a solution. I found this website: http://myiptvbox.live/ which has a lot of football leagues including Germany, England, Holland, Spain and Italy. What I don't know is whether they compensate the leagues for carrying the streaming content or not. The price is 40 English pounds a year which seems to good to be true!!!

Yes, could be a scam. For every "legit" IPTV provider there's another 2 or 3 scammers.

Thats you look for sites that give 24hr free trial, plus those who accept paypal. Because if it is a scam you can get a refund.

This site has a 24hr trial that only costs a few Euros: https://baznga.nl/winkel/
    And this one too: https://iptvkoning.nl/prijslijst/

Seems like these Alvarez-Rennes rumors just won't go away. Latest is that Edson agreed to terms with them.

Ajax evidently has rejected 18m from them. If this gets to 20-22m, I think Ajax would be insane to say no. Of course that hinges on a replacement being bought. But that would be great business and I'd prefer someone who passes more in the MF.

Yup. Only the top teams though, not all games obviously.

And make sure all channels are 1080p or 4K

@Orange14 its gonna take you a while to find a couple of good IPTV providers that have Dutch channels, who will give you a 24 hr trial and who accept paypal.

So dont get discouraged. Trust me, in the end it'll be worth it. The amount of channels you get is amazing. Some of my favourites are obviously sports, but also PPV (UFC, boxing....etc) and nature channels like NatGeo, Discovery....etc. And also the science channels are amazing as well

but I’m not sure you can watch things on demand, though? I sometimes can’t watch the matches live and ESPN+ was good for that.
