Calling all (or maybe just one) kit geeks! Here they are: Sheffield Wednesday on Twitter: " #swfc x @MacronSports @TheSherlocks | @LENSGOvisuals | @SteelYardKelham https://t.co/gx5lmeHu3A" / Twitter I quite like the thinner stripes. Not crazy about the solid sleeves, but that's no biggie. Also, it appears that the backs may have one of those big, stripeless white patches where the numbers are. I very much prefer stripes throughout, but what can you do? I always prefer black to blue shorts for Wednesday, so there's that. All in all, pretty good. The aways are interesting. I generally don't go for more complex patterns and such, but those don't look too bad; and from a distance will probably look pretty good. And I love the keepers' kit. If I were to buy one (and I won't), it'd be the orange, for sure.

Yes they will my friend, yes they will. Owlstalk peeps are already having fits. They are correct though. Never dress us in pink.
Wednesday will piss this division. You heard it here first. Not a fan of how Chansiri's run things thus far, but Darren Moore is class and doing the job. If he's backed, I'll give Chansiri all the credit he's due. Not even the playoffs. Automatic promotion this year. I can feel it.
Yeah, I can see this one not going great. Charlton are one of the three or four teams that I could see taking the automatic promotion places. And while almost all agree that Moore is putting together a very strong squad for this division, you've gotta think it will take a bit of time for Wednesday to gel. I won't be disappointed with a draw, and even a loss won't be too discouraging. You just want Wednesday to play well and to improve throughout the first ten or so games. A win, of course, would be brill. UTO. FTB.
Odds are you'll still be posting here in 5 years, how many teams get relegated from the Championship thinking the same and then get stuck? The bookies has you 3rd favourite to be promoted behind Sunderland and Ipswich. I can't see us going back into the Championship again for a long time either, I think we've had our chances.
You've got Paul Warne and Wednesday have Darren Moore. Those guys both know this division and how to deal with it. There is no need for pessimism from either Millers or Owls. This season will be a joyride compared to last for both.
For five years? I can't see it. A bucket of warm piss could run a football club better than what's been in charge at Hillsborough over the last 20+ years, during which Wednesday have got out of this God-forsaken division twice. If Paul Sturrock and Gary Megson can lead Wednesday out of it, Darren Moore surely can. Lots of clubs 'too big for the third tier' have come down here over the last 15 or so years, and while quite a few have failed to bounce right back up, not many have stayed for five years. Wait until Wednesday have dropped three on the trot ... then I can fire up the pessimism. It's August, man! Chin up!
Hutch down with what appears a nasty head injury after a collision while clearing a corner. It doesnt look good. Kamberi about to come on for him. A striker for Hutch 10 minutes in. Interesting.
0-0 at HT. Not been pretty, very few chances. No shots on goal for either side that I can recall. But not terribly disappointing to my mind. You can see how Wednesday are trying to play, and that they've not been together very long. Peacock-Farrell has had a moment or two of, shall we say, unsuredness. And Stockly came into too much space for his missed header. But other than that, Wednesday have kept them at bay pretty effectively.
We'd be level on points and goal difference if Wigan didn't put one past us on 90+6. Big game at the weekend eh?
Congratulations on your win, it looks like pooks might be right about you romping the league on early evidence. There's a long way to go in the season yet though..
Nice one, Wednesday. I didn't see it, so can't comment meaningfully, but it sounds like maybe Rotherham was a bit better than the scoreline indicates. I've seen the penalty save (nice) and the goals. Some saying the first goal was well offside (I've no idea) and the second was clearly a real howler from the keeper. But I've not seen enough otherwise to give one any feel for it, one way or the other. What can be said definitively is that we're four games in and Wednesday have yet to concede. Wednesday and Pompey with no goals allowed, and no one else with less than three. So there's my preposterously early prediction for the automatic places: Wednesday and Pompey to finish in the top two. Oh, and one other prediction: Ipswich will find themselves in deep shit by season's end. They're deep in debt and have spent again. If they don't go up - and early indications don't look good - they'll have serious issues.
