I will be happy with a tie, but I would have been happy with a tie to begin with against C. Porter. WHAT!!!?? Just when I was bowing to Olsen-era inevitable WE SCORED!!!
Frankly, I'm impressed that he's actually watching the game right now. Those don't look like social media manager tweets.
Losadaball right there. DC have passed their 2020 points total (21 in 23 games), going 7-7-3 at the midway mark for 24 points.
I figured this would be a slog - 0-0 tie, 1-0 loss, just trench warfare. This was completely unexpected. Whatever Reyna was fed pre-game, keep giving it to him breakfast, lunch and dinner. That was MOTM material. Najar has completely returned from a career graveyard, not only a good game, but he appears durable as well. Kempin scares me at times, but he's our guy for the next few games. Agree on the DOGSO, if Nyeman could get one 40 yards from goal, Mensah surely gets one in the box. One final note -- this team is a kick in the ass to watch, ten years of Bennyball almost killed my enthusiasm for DCU, it's back now.
DCU now 6th in the East after tonight. Nashville will begin to drop, they've played 11 of their games at home already and only 6 on the road.
You know, I sort of hate to say this out loud, but Losada might well be a coaching genius. We’ve had just one of those in franchise history - il Bruce, one of whose assistants, Cheating Bob, also went on to make quite a name for himself. I sorta of hate to say it because I don’t want to jinx it, but we just might be at the ground floor of the rise of a legend.
I mean up until the coaching change and this new season he wasn't good. Also since he's began performing I don't see anyone suggesting he's doing poorly. He's playing at about a 400k salary, so it's fine.
it did completely kill my enthusiasm (along with the completely incompetent ownership and front office). But I have been won back over too.
Losada on no DCU all-stars. “Painful because there are many on our team who deserve to be there. Maybe it’s due to the fact DC wasn’t good enough the last couple years and lost a little bit of respect. Little by little, with this big heart and fighting spirit, we're coming back.”— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) August 5, 2021 I like Hernan Losada.
