When: Wednesday August 4, 2021 at 7:30 PM TV: NBCSW, TeleXitos, ESPN+ Why: Don Garber loves multi-game weeks and soft tissue injuries Injury Report (per Goff) DCU: Flores, BHI, Robertha, Perez, Canouse (out) Mora & Nyeman suspeneded C-bus: Kitchen, Artur, Valenzuela, Morris (out) Williams & Wormgoor (questionable) 3 games in a week requires strong rotation: Hamid Najar Brillant Pines? O-A Felipe Skundrich Paredes Yow Kamara Asad Worried about the mileage on Najar, but other than O-A, don't know who else to use. Could move O-A and Yow back one place and insert Bolivar on the right. If Kamara can't go, maybe put Sorga up top with Reyna as a sub later. This match will be a slog. Cute baby bullfrog:
“Wormgoor? Isn’t that a character in the Harry Potter books? tough mid-week game with a depleted side. Will Ariola and Pines be back with the team? Now that the adrenaline has worn off, Ariola may be worn to a nub…
I hope we can manage to finish with 11 this time If the current status of these two teams were reversed I'd be warning that this had all the markings of a trap game ...... so I hope Columbus refuses to notice that and we surprise them with 3 quick goals. now ....... is anyone left on the roster who could be up top to score those goals?
Goff says Kamara traveled with the team to Columbus. No word on the status of Arriola or Pines. Jacob Greene has also been recalled from Loudoun.
Unless Kamara's been training 100 percent during the concussion protocol, I'd prefer to see him used as a sub and hopefully he's ready for a full match Sunday at home. Yow now!
You won't. DCU lineup: Hamid; Birnbaum, Brillant, Alfaro; Gressel, Martins, Moreno, Najar; Reyna, Kamara, Paredes.Subs: Kempin, Odoi-Atsem, Greene, Skundrich, Yow, Asad, Bolivar. (Sorga did not travel and is not on the injury report. No immediate explanation.)— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) August 4, 2021
I don't like the look of this Najar injury. why do the color commentators not know how to talk into a microphone? I can never hear them
