I don’t think it’s one player specific who is to blame for the losses. Mexico did have a couple (or more) wasted shots but I think it’s systemic. El fútbol mexicano es perjudicado por la cercanía a los EEUU. Mexican football federation is more concerned with making money with Mexico fans who live in the USA than developing and exporting players. Couple that with las tranzas que existen en el fútbol mexicano and what you have left is a team who’s starts a players who played this same Gold Cup tournament 10 years ago due to los “pacto de caballero” and things like this. Mexico should have at minimum 2-3 wingers on each side, 2-3 grade A strikers, defenders etc.
We medal....wait and see how things change... Pulido, Pizarro, Gutierrez won't be Tata's only bench options
Why do people want Chicharito back? Biggest problem is our shit defense, slow build ups, and lack of composure going forward.
The great MMLS gave us washed never-was-been Alan Putito, Rodolfo Pizarro & one-dimensional Efra Alvarez lmao ! Meanwhile dude's playing @ Europe ( Omar Govea ) getting snubbed.MLS is a overrated + mediocre league dumbfuk
Long time no see. Also people talk about the Olympics when we won the Gold Medal in 2012 in the Chepo era. It was the biggest youth tournament victory in our history, it was an historic thing that helped us out in the long run and something that ranks as one of the greatest moment ever. Buuuutttttt in didn't help us in the short term or Chepo de la Torre and we had to go and qualify thru the playoff against New Zealand but this time it probably will be thru CONMEBOL.
Man I’d love for him to come back, not because I think he’s great but because he never got a fair chance.
big thing is if you are actually scoring it relives stress on the Defense and forces other team to open up and make mistakes
Mexico has had a shaky backline for years now and it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change any time soon.
Mexico created chances but couldn't finish....a proven finisher (chicharo) would capitalize on those chances. Defense needs work...no doubt
Volvemos a lo mismo, culpar jugadores. Dicen "la defensa es bien mala". Pregunto yo: ¿la liga mexicana es formadora de talento juvenil?
Doesn't Corona play as a fullback? People don't realize this. Moreno is past his prime, Salcedo is trash...why are you guys worried about offense when this defense is needed more than anything
Based on what? He hasn't done shit in 2021. It's a good team but not as overly superior as Mexican fans think.
We still have months before the qualifiers. They are not going to get rid of him now. But once he starts struggling. It looks very likely that they will. They need to start looking for alternatives. I'm not asking for a tactical genius. They need a hardass coach to motivate them imho. Someone who is not afraid to bench players and try out others when they are not performing. We won't see a change in the lackadaisical way Herrera and Tecatito play if they know their manager isn't going to change them. No, I'm not asking for Vasco or Piojo but they share that in common. No nonsense, campechanos. You don't need a tactical genius you just need someone who is willing to bench muthaf'kas when they are not playing well.
Tata to me has always been mediocre coach . really look at him with ARG national team and Barca those two teams were stacked and played bad
