Twitterverse implying Atlanta has an agreement with Velez to buy Thiago Almada for $15mm.

Rapids trade $50K of GAM to Nashville for Dominique Badji. Nashville will get an additional $50K of GAM if Badji is re-signed for 2022.

IIRC, the RSL sale of Baird to LAFC included a future considerations clause. Checking . . . yep. I am curious to see if any of the money to LA is passed along to RSL.

As far as I know the Rapids never got any of the money Nashville paid Dallas for Badji (Colorado had a 50% sell-on clause on him). But that might have been small enough that they just didn't announce getting the money.

There is also now a bunch of noise that they've agreed to personal terms with Joao Pedro who is currently at Cagliari in Italy. The reports are saying that it is just down to Atlanta and Cagliari coming to terms and they are a few million off right now. So, I'd just say that I have no clue what the heck is going on in Atlanta since they are reportedly acting like they are the Galaxy in the late 00's. No way that they can fit Pedro and Almada without moving on or buying down several players.

They're going to buy down Alan Franco so he's no longer a DP, and the suspicion is that Barco won't be with the side much longer.

Uncle Arthur hasn't been happy of late and approved the go ahead for more changes.

Not current MLS player related, but it's beginning to look like Venezia is going to sign both current KC homegrown Gianluca Busio (19) and former KC homegrown Erik Palmer-Brown (24).

That Venezia roster is interesting, to say the least. These moves would give them 3 from the US and 3 from Iceland along with 2 Finnish players, all in a 7450 seat stadium. The fact that they've been able to rebuild all the way up to Serie A, after bankruptcy in 2005, is impressive.

They also went bankrupt in 2009, after which Foot Ball Club Unione Venezia was founded in Serie D and again in 2013, after which Joe Tacopina acquired them from bankruptcy as Venezia FC, also in Serie D. So it's taken 6 years, not 16.

I thought they were only allowed 3 foreign players...or do they have the Italian equivalent of a green card where they hand them out like candy?

They’re allowed 3 non-EU players (I believe), and Busio has an Italian passport so he doesn’t count.

Basically they can buy up to 3 non-EU players from outside of Serie A but can buy as many non-EU players as you like from within Serie A. However, there are variances based on how many non-EU players the team had on its roster in 2013. Simple eh?

When a player is "sold" in league....the player is staying with the same entity (MLS). These MLS transactions are really just trades. I believe these sell on clauses are for when a player is sold to a league outside of MLS...

From the club themselves (not that there was really any doubt on this one):

Also, Jeff Carlisle reporting his replacement (Lucas Esteves) is completing his medical. Tom Bogert is also reporting that the Union's signing of Matheus Davo is done and that Minnesota has exercised the contract buyout on Ike Opara.
