Britain have the wind in their sails right now. I wish to see more urgency from our Nadeshiko in those 1v1 challenges. It's a battle of trenches; gotta go at them.

edit: as I wrote this, Nadeshiko are pushing forward now.

 

I see Japan much more fluid today in attack, that's a good sign for me.

How can Japan is playing better without their best player, I don't understand.

 

Between her and Stéphane Guivarc'h (France, 1998), I sometimes don't know who is worse at not being able to hit a barn door in a big tournament.

edit: Guivarc'h was notorious for messing up 3 big scoring chances in the 1998 World Cup final against brazil.

Good first half for Japan, so much better than first day. I like Sugita and Hayashi a lot in first half. If Mana can enter, this could get better.
