"opting for a different route." that's funny. that's like the announcement that the philadelphia fury would "refrain from play" (coming up on two years of refraining now). league is a joke.

https://www.nisasoccer.com/news/2021/07/21/nisa-nation-secures-ron-patel-as-new-lead CHICAGO (July 21, 2021) – The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) today proudly announced Ron Patel as the new managing director of NISA Nation. Patel brings his leadership and entrepreneurial skills forged over a 20-year career to guide the launch of the full-year league that provides amateur, independent clubs a groundbreaking path to professional status.
the fury or the league? i would not expect the fury, but i would imagine the league itself can keep doing this late 90s lose-teams-convince-others-to-replace-them strategy for a bit.
In the Mid-Atlantic Region, Atlantic City FC (NPSL) fell to Maryland Bobcats FC (NISA), 1-0, in both team’s final match. The result gave Maryland it’s second consecutive regional title in the competition. The loss also followed up ACFC’s loss in the NPSL Keystone Conference semifinal to FC Motown.

Honestly better then having soccer, football, lacrosse, & field hockey lines all down at once like the other stadium.
The stadium that Milwaukee Torrent plays in (Hart Stadium, I think?) gives me a headache in this regard - there is like no sport unlined there. It looks like the office whiteboard after an extraordinarily productive re-org meeting.
I mean, LA Force played in a public park one game last season - I'm going to give NAFC credit for at least making the effort to play in a stadium with permanent seating and lights.

Attention: 1904 FC wants to let you know that they do, in fact, have fans. Also a taco stand. Because that's the only concession stand they have in their rinky-dink high school stadium with no alcohol zones. Our fans are the best 🖤🖤 And we have tacos. Did we mention that we have tacos? #Vamos1904 pic.twitter.com/1wlqEQMU4G— ALBION San Diego (@ALBION_SanDiego) August 15, 2021
NISA Fall Season Attendance as of 8/18/21: Detroit City: 6,076 Chattanooga FC: 2,916 Michigan Stars: 1,628 (I find this hard to believe) California United: 653 New Amsterdam: 278/333 1904 FC: 237/0 (apparently no one wanted to attend 1904's second home match WITH a taco stand and no alcohol zones?) Stumptown: 167 Los Angeles Force: 0 (yep, your eyes aren't deceiving you, it was zero, nada because Los Angeles doesn't have a permanent place to play) Average attendance: 1,228
